  1. What a free kick by Payet. When he shot to that corner of the goal I literally thought there was no way it was going in.
  2. In case the WH fans don't know, Nobel's testimonial is on BT Sport from 1.30 today. I believe Sam is managing the All Stars team 😀
  3. Your question was already answered.

  5. Oh, that's lazy.
  6. Why do people wish each other Happy Easter? What do they mean? Happy what exactly? One woman of Indian origin asks another English woman at work the other day, "Is Sunday a Public Holiday?". Reply was "Yeah, it's just like Christmas".
  7. Just wondering if it's just us suffering from cold/flu like symptoms. Leaves us needing a lot of rest.
  8. A nearby neighbour is having one built. First proposal was rejected but 2nd one accepted. I think it's all about the degree of intrusiveness. With the right plans you may well be successful. Another neighbour built one a few years ago and I'm pretty certain they didn't bother with planning permission. Not suggesting taking that route. Just surprised they got away with it.
  9. The 2nd 'n' was added due to one not being accepted by the registrar in Holland. Something to do with given name customs.

Charlie Smith Wrote: I will see if there is anything that can be > done to make this particular junction a lot > safer. > > Councillor Charlie Smith > East Dulwich Ward Councillor It doesn't take a genius to see this junction is dangerous. Why does it appear to be beyond the wit of whoever plans these to have a bit of foresight? Will someone have to die for something to be done?

    Good Walks

Don't know why you wrote that. It would make a difference on that walk with a buggy if it's dry or muddy.

See, that I wouldn't know as have never knowingly been. I did once go into one of the places I wouldn't normally frequent looking for a last minute Christmas present and came out with a green box which was made to look old. That must have cost about ?30. I got it for the Mrs to put those things she mislays into so they would all be in one place. Unfortunately she forgets to do it so searching for keys or the like may mean going through about 50 pockets in various coats. Anyway,I'll try them and Farmers (thanks JL) as this is another last minute present thing which has an equally endearing story attached to it. PS Quite witty Louisa but marks lost for predictability
  15. Anyone know if I can buy a very large mug anywhere on LL?

May have just as much to do as them having played on Thursday night as LVG pointed out.
  17. Well done to the Cowboy who just pipped RD.
  18. Lee and colleague installed a combi boiler to replace two old boilers we had. He also did various other minor jobs. I couldn't recommend him highly enough for the quality of his work and his approach when finding a problem to ask himself, what would I do if it were in my house? He was very upfront about what everything would cost and gave me 3 different quotes for 3 possible scenarios. By the way if you have an old boiler which still works you can currently apply for a ?400 cashback from Boris to replace it. To see if you are eligible you can find out via this link: https://www.london.gov.uk/what-we-do/housing-and-land/improving-quality/london-boiler-cashback-scheme ETA Lee's number is 07881277385
  19. Don't most US spellings of English words sort of make more sense than the English version eg center, centre, aeroplane, airplane
  20. I thing we (Ireland) derailed England more than you. There should be a trophy for it ☺
  21. I'm pretty sure that ban was lifted ages ago.
  22. Saturday's last round of fixtures: Wales v Italy 14.30 Ireland v Scotland 17.00 France v Wales 20.00
  23. What if the proud Englishman is left-handed?
  24. I think the Fox is correct about TGE. I'm 99% sure I walked by the HOT last week-end and there was a board outside advertising the rugby.
