  1. Methinks RD's comment was made with tongue firmly in cheek.
  2. So the big change as you perceive it is you now have a better manager (one who was sacked from his last two jobs), and better players. Whose arguing with that? It's debateable what SA might have done but he fulfilled his role. Got you up and kept you up unlike many promoted teams. You seem to use the most cliches though I haven't bothered counting them.
  3. Was this when you were in the Championship? ETA Was the last thing you won the 2nd division in 81? What tradition are you talking about?
  4. The people responsible are those who drop the litter.

I think the lack of oxygen from being in these dizzy heights is affecting your memory.
  6. May not matter to you Sue but I believe credit ratings are affected by not having a landline.
  7. Brilliant first goal for the Arse but Spurs should be kicking themselves for not winning.
  8. I never considered this before but seeing an increase in our bill I just wondered am I paying over the odds by not having a meter. I'm not into measuring drops but I'm curious if anyone found that they paid a lot less using this method?

I used to drink white which often gave me a hangover. Now I drink red and don't seem to get them however much I've had.

  11. I know I could call you Lee, but if you ever read my PM please respond. I'm a bit allergic to chasing tradesmen at the moment. Thanks.
  12. Not me. I just googled something like 'cold winter predicted' and got that. What's interesting about the Express?
  13. I thought I remembered reading a headline like this: http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/604619/Long-range-weather-forecast-Britain-cold-winter-2015-arctic-snow-freeze
  14. It's how they lost the game. They don't have the x factor. United should have been there for the taking but 3-2 was closer than they deserved. Spurs and/or Leicester may get the yips but Arsenal haven't shown today they have what it takes to take advantage.
  15. Good 'ol LVG. He's doing a Houdini act at OT. Today's match was probably the most satisfying of the season. I don't know if JM has been offered the job next season but just to see Louis get out of his seat and fall down in front of the 4th official makes me want to wish him good luck.
  16. What does today's match say about Arsenal? They don't deserve to be Champions. That leaves Leicester, Spurs and City. I hope it's one of the first two.
  17. Given his age, Jimmy seems to be in good hands. What's happened to him is one of those things in life. I felt sad about Georgie Best as his death seemed self inflicted. Jimmy seems to be able to accept his predicament without bitterness. It can only help him in the rest of his life.
  18. Obviously a league of experts. Everyone had the correct result last night and all within the 5 points difference to gain .5 of a bonus point. Buoy and RC shared the additional bonus point for being the closest by getting the exact points difference correct. Just in case anyone was wondering where the points came from.
  19. Europa draw: Liverpool v United Dortmund v Spurs
  20. Dovertheroad, a gentle reminder that you haven't made your predictions yet.
  21. Nil, so good point Mick. However, it's the shower who gave him the job who are to blame for that. From what I vaguely recall from reading he made a habit of insulting people in his programmes. Yet it appears he is extremely popular. As to what would have been a deserved punishment, it's a pity it didn't go to court.
  22. Never watched the programme. What I saw of JC I didn't like. But how should he have been punished if you think he got off lightly?
