  1. I think beliefs are a lazy man's way of avoiding trying to find out the answers to the questions which bother him. As for feet first graves, how would gravediggers manage to do that?

There's probably rich pickings in the Family Room.

Even if you can get rid of tapes you bought there are still the originally blank ones to consider. No one is going to want those.

  6. Do you need any reading matter for the breaks (he he) or between frames?
  7. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8670763.stm Not sure about the taking off of Charlton. He was replaced by Colin Bell, a very good player. Bonetti looked poor though. (link to highlights)
  8. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,1609878 If you look at this thread you will find the name of someone offering to sell tickets for the week-end, if you're interested.
  9. Gave it up years ago. I watch Neighbours for light relief.
  10. This isn't newsworthy is it? Who cares?
  11. Yeah but even your goalkeeper said you need some experienced players.
  12. Don't you think the building of the stadium is going to eat into resources otherwise used for the team?

  14. Bogata?
  15. I read Yaya is complaining he hasn't been voted African player of the year for about the 17th year in a row. Between that and not getting a birthday cake he strikes me as the sensitive type. Seems his agent has been having a dig at Pep too. Maybe last season at City? Scholes on United must sum up how most United fans think. The journos this morning were wondering if his mate Giggs is keeping his distance from LVG so he isn't tarred with the same brush. Same guys were commenting on an article in one of the paper's today that United will go after the Spurs boss in the summer and that he wouldn't turn it down. Can't see LVG lasting past the Summer either way.
  16. I know *Bob*, I know. I'm an amateur at this malarkey. PS I have a sandwich toaster myself so I didn't go for it. Love the sandwiches. In fact I often browse through one or other Volumes of The History of Irish Tennis while eating my cheese toastie. I have a paper towel to hand as the quality of the paper is such that you just wouldn't want to get greasy hands on it. By the way the author is none less than the son of the cousin of a famous writer Aiden Higgins who recently passed away. http://www.independent.ie/entertainment/books/obituary-aidan-higgins-34331369.html

  18. Bad move on my part. With a flood of input from Loungers I responded to them all at the same time. I should have spread them out. I now find myself underneath a 2nd hand sandwich toaster going for ?5 and a host of other items.
  19. Trying a new tactic. I've put the price up. Still sinking like a stone with pair of shoes (right one missing) and ill fitting dentures and the like moving up the charts. I need people to ask questions if I'm to stay afloat if you've nothing better to do.
  20. Elvis Presley. Just don't like his stuff. Seems more of a performer than a singer. Don't get his cult following.
  21. With whose permission is the question.
  22. Hi James. Are there any regulations regarding tree planting in the borough? We have had for 2 or 3 years a small live Christmas tree and think it may now need somewhere in the ground to allow it to survive and hopefully flourish. We were thinking of Sydenham Woods. Any idea if we can do this?
  23. I remember being sent to the shop at half time by my big brothers to get sweets.
  24. Louisa,be honest. You're angry you got a ticket full stop. "People of a certain age" is a good one. Apart from parking on yellow lines what could it be applied to?
  25. Thanks for the comments though it's not me who will have the problem but my Mrs. Just wondering how much of a carer I will have to be. So she won't be making the dinner then.. .
