And the first post on this thread has been edited 125 times. A record? Also - Tandoori Nights - lets keep things as they are until we know when it is going to re-open. We can always do a last minute change of venue if need be.
I suggest the first Thursday of September for the next meeting. Any suggestions as to where? We havent been to Tandoori Nights for ages. Any objections to either date of suggested venue?
Great evening, seven people met for drinks and six went on for the meal, one dropping out for holiday prep purposes. A very nice meal was had with friendly and efficient service. After a number of changes of name and menu, Memsaab is a good quality restaurant with good food at competitive prices. Three of us had starters, all had main courses plus side dishes, rice and bread, plus beers and wine at 25GBP per head. A place to return to I think.
Also, the 'Whats on in East Dulwich' has many clubs and social events through which you can meet people. ED is a very social area. Just find something that interests you and dive in.
"Shocked" at the giving away of free water? No. I am not even shocked that it was in plastic bottles. Plastic is like dogs and children, bad when unmanaged and/or unrecycled. Those that are giving away the water should be thanked. Those that are not recycling the bottles should be chastised. If the council doesnt recycle the plastic, paper and metal in public bins, they should. However, do we know that they do not?
