  1. Poor you and your son; I took my daughter out of a nursery after 5 months when I noticed she had changed and she became very aggressive; she used to panic when we were getting close to the nursery; you should always follow your instincts; it took awhile for her to be back to normal; we found a good state nursery after 6 months and she is happy there. There are lots of rubbish nurseries in London and they should definitely have more control. Keep doing the cranial ostheopaty; it helps a lot with anxiety
  2. Stop for a year or two; he started too early and is probably tired; have a break; he is still very young
  3. Will a medical card be enough to replace the child benefit letter?; you can ask the GP for one and should receive it within 2 weeks
  4. It is good but my daughter prefers HDO as they have more freedom regarding what they want to do according to her. Give it a try and see what your children think
  5. Great news! Congratulations Charter. We are in desperate need of a new secondary school in East Dulwich. Looking forward to seeing plans of the new school when ready. Hope it has good facilities and high academic standards.
  6. Have been in Formigal in Easter and could ski until about 3pm everyday when they close; snow started to get a bit soft after midday though so people started early
  7. Have you tried cranial osteopathy? I see John Mellinder at Neals Yard in London Bridge and I feel it helps me. I also do yoga which is great
  8. Great! Thank you for the update. Hope NHS agree to sell the land though.
  9. Great. Thank you very much for the information
  10. Thank you. Also, do you automatically go on the waiting list if you put it as yours first choice? Or do you have to speak to the school? I am new to this whole secondary school application. Is it 180 places?
  11. Does anybody know Which one was the furthest distance for an offer at the charter this year and last year.?
  12. Hi, are there any restaurants in Dulwich or near by who do cooking parties for children.? Apart from Pizza express Thank you
  13. Thank you. Was thinking of some on site classes/clubs not online; but maybe there's any apart from Kumon or getting a tutor
  14. What about using a square tin and a car model to cut it; we have a cake book with different picture models to cut the cake and use a different on each birthday; not sure there is a car model though.
  15. Do you mean private/independent schools? if a child attends a private/independent school you are suppose to have money to pay all the extras. My children attend state education and I am quite happy to pay for any clubs, sport, music, art, trips that provide them with a comprehensive/all round education. These activities are not compulsory and are always the parent choice. State school do help children who want to do clubs but cannot afford them.
  16. I would like my daughter to join a math's club to rinforce what she learns at school; are there any clubs around? I am not looking for kumon or tutor. Thank you
  17. Hi, I am looking for a venue to rent on Saturdays from 10 to 1pm for some children classes; term time. Does anybody know where could I rent that have availability and is not too expensive. Want to make the classes affordable. Thank you
  18. Hi; Trying to book tickets to Spain during May's half term and cost is over the roof; wasn't the government cutting taxes on children air fares from May; I don't see airlines applying this yet. Is there anyway to travel cheaply with kids during holidays? why schools do not allowed to take kids for holidays during term time anymore? is it because the government get more money from airlines ?
  19. Congratulations! What are the posibilities of this school being ready for 2016? I believe they have not agreed to sell the land yet.
