  1. Thank you very much. I will give them a call and try arrange and appointment
  2. Hi, I am looking for a pre-school for my daugther in East Dulwich or Dulwich Village, she is 2.5; ideally in the mornings. Can anyone let me know which are the pre-schools in the are and their opinion on them. I put her name down in Half Moon Lane Montessori but not sure we are getting a place before Sept 2014. I am desperate to get her into a routine and don't have much time to take her out in the few mornings I am off. Thank you
  3. EDITED. I edited it as I think you got enough good advice already
  4. At that age, I think he still needs a bottle/milk in the evening before bedtime. He is probably waking up hungry.
  5. Exams are quite stressful, especially when you have a young family and unfortunately young children pick up on mummies feelings; hopefully the situation will change after the exams. I had two last year and they affected my health. Good Luck with the exams!
  6. There are many reasons for getting over anxiety? Like thyroid problems or a vitamin deficiency. It will be worth it getting some blood test done and making sure everything is OK
  7. Is she enjoying nursery? Is there any reason why she may be so distressed? My daughter became very aggressive and stress when she changed nursery; I keep her there for a few months but decided to take her out at the end and she has changed completely. She still has tantrums but not as bad as before; and she is a more relaxed and happy child as she used to be before that nursery. There may be other reasons too? getting sick? Jealousy of her sibling? not enough time with mummy?
  8. It may be vitamin D deficiency; I will get some tablets from the chemist but will also get a test from the GP
  9. I think I will apply. The lady at the school told me that sometimes people move and there may be a place available, you never know.
  10. Does anyone know how much is Half Moon lane Montesorri fees for 5 days at week part time place. I couldn't find them in their website. Also, any feedback about the nursery will be greatly appreciated
  11. Thank you Pickle. I will do that; you never know
  12. Thank you
  13. Hi, My child will be 3 in November and I was wondering whether any school nursery in Dulwich offer a part time place from when she turns 3 or whether she has to wait until the September intake. I think it will be good for her to start getting used to a school routine from an early age; I also want to get some free time in the morning when I am not working at least to get breakfast in peace.
  14. Did you know that there is a Company taking congestion charge payments which is not the official website and takes a fee for doing the payment on your behalf which is about ?6. Surely that shouldn't be legal, but according to CC London it is as they are doing the payment for you. The offical website is http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/congestioncharging/6743.aspx The one that want to rip you off is this one, they may be more though: http://www.paylondoncongestion.com/pay-charge

  18. That reminded me of my first labour when we had to rush to hospital at the last minute; the taxi driver took me and had no problem with me screaming all the way there and asking him not to stop at traffic lights; this was after my waters broke and 1.5 hours before I had my baby. I don't think we told them I was in labour though. If you go early in labour you should be able to get any cab and get to hospital without problem.
  19. All sound very nice. I wish I had the patience and time to apply it when my toddler has a tantrum; which is very often these days. I just get really frustrated and stressed specially if I am getting ready to go out, do the school, nursery run, go to work, and don't have time for rationing, cuddling, explaining, ignoring.
  20. My 2 year old just scream to the top of his lungs.
  21. http://www.johnlewis.com/tp455-zoomee-surroundsafe-7ft-trampoline/p231553381 This one is good enough for us; don't want it to overtake the garden; 3 have been jumping there can't be sure what's the safety recommendation though.; however most of the time is just two at a time as we just have two kids
  22. Woow. I take my hat off for all of you who have 3 and 4. I have 2 and I am totally convinced that's all I want and can manage for various reasons: I do not want to go through another pregnancy/childbirth; I find it difficult enough balancing work and family without anyone help apart from my husband; I also want to be able to enjoy my family and do lots of travelling, outings; I do not want to give it my career to be a full time mum because I wouldn't be happy. I got have been getting rid of everything after my second one which definitely mean I do not want a third one. It is a very personal decision and I think when you start thinking of 3 is because deep inside you really want it and because somehow you think you can manage. I believe you should go for it if that's the case.
  23. I give my kids Manuka honey 15plus and sambucol during winter, specially when they get ill and they do get better quite quickly and haven't got sick as much. By the way you should give Sambucol just to over 3s and honey to over 1s.
  24. That sounds good. I will defintely have at look at it.
