  1. Queuing up, Foxy drew admiring glances attired in his double denim with the legend ''I am Foxy'' emblazoned across his back, however, things would never be quite the same when a heavily armed Seabag walked in...

  4. Have you read this Rangers article Mick? Quite a good overview of their financial shenanigans... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/18/how-the-mighty-glasgow-rangers-have-fallen I'm sure SC will correct any inaccuracies... ;-)

''Don't worry lads, Hull's pressing game will eventually knacker 'em out by 'alf-time, then we'll stick to 'em in the 2nd 'alf...'' Tactical genius...

I thought SJ was saying that the vitriol each receives from their own fans was comparable, nothing to do with their managerial skills/legacy. I think sometimes too much credence is given to systems/formations. 10 mins of watching Sky punditry and everyone is suddenly a tactical genius. I watched the game, West Ham looked hungover and lethargic after the highs and exertions of their mid-week Cup win. Second best to 50/50's, the defence, in particular Tomkins, run ragged. It doesn't matter what system is played, if a team isn't up for it, they're not going to perform. Something a good old fashioned half-time rollicking and an orange put right. West Ham might have been in the top 4 with a different manager, but equally they could've ended up in the Championship if they had sacked him this time last year...

  14. If you want a holiday companion that you get on with socially, why not keep your search more local. Are there any interest groups you can join? Try searching the 'What's On' section here for events and the like. Even then, a like minded soul doesn't mean you will get on with them day to day. You'll need plenty of time to build up a friendship first...

Might that have something to do with the multi-million pound diet industry perchance? ;-) Good post katanita, for the most people it really is how you manage your calorie intake v outake...

  21. That's right. I've previously encouraged late arrivals to join in at later stages, and will do so again when the next round's fixtures are posted...
  22. Sort of, in order to determine who would play who in the head to heads, the top 8 players in the league were given the draw numbers 1 to 8 accordingly, so when the official draw was made and ball 3 was drawn to play ball 7, then the 3rd place player in our league would play the 7th, and so on. As we only have 8 players this year I'll just do it alphabetically, e.g. you would be 1, and I would be 8. There's no real advantage to be gained as the official draw is random. Originally we had about a dozen players, which didn't tie in with the FA Cup format, so the league format was introduced to whittle the dozen down to 8, so we could then follow the FA Cup format of knock out games. Had we started with 16 players then we would've started the head to heads a round earlier and not bothered with the league...

You're getting good at this, when can you come for the initiation?...
  24. So basically your summarisation of the clique is a load of white pointed hatted bollox...
  25. My point is, how do you know it's a joke in the first place? If only 'the clique' understand them, then only 'the clique' will know a joke has been said...
