  1. Jeremy, what was the LTV ratio you managed to get? The last time I looked into it, it was in the region of 60%. Just wondering whether it's eased off a bit..

There's been a lot of talk about Barkley for a few years now, and from his performances this season it's totally justified. I'm just wondering why Moyes spent so much time trying to sign Baines, who IMO wasn't essential as Evra is still one of the best LB's in the PL, and Fellani, whilst right under his nose at Everton was Barkley, the type of creative midfielder we're crying out for. Anyway, I hope he continues to have a good season esp with WC looming, assuming we quailify first...
  3. Have a chat with a specialist mortgage company, these guys have been helpful to me in the past...http://www.mortgagesforbusiness.co.uk/ They will go through all the various scenarios and give you an idea of costs. As has already been mentioned, it's wise to factor in a future rate rise, say 2% over the next 3-5 years. Another option you could consider is to buy a place that needs work/modernising, fix it up, and sell it on Sarah Beeney stylee*... *Unfeasibly large mammaries optional
  4. I had a mare on the EDF Fantasy this week, 4th place down to 11th!..
  5. Another great performance from Ross Barkley last night. Was Moyes not aware how good he is? Maybe he's waiting until his price doubles...

  9. If it's not a specific Buy To Let mortgage that you currently have, then you will need to get permission from your lender to rent out the flat, otherwise you could be breaking the terms of your mortgage. If it isn't a BTL mortgage and they won't agree to renting it out, then you should try remortgaging with a BTL mortgage lender. Another option is to use the equity as a deposit to buy another flat on a BTL mortgage, rent the new place out and stay in your current flat...
  10. I don't think Rio or Vidic can play week in, week out, which is what they have been doing under Moyes. After they pickied up serious injuries, Fergie would alternate one of them with Evans/Smalling/Jones. They only tended to play together in the really big games. I'm more concerned with the lack of zip the team has as a whole. We're usually sluggish starters, and kick-on from the new year. But the performances against Liverpool (away), City and West Brom were worse than sluggish. I read in the summer how some of the players were saying that the training sessions were more 'intense' than under Fergie. So I'm wondering whether that is having a detrimental effect, esp on the older players like Rio...
  11. Ha bloody ha. I was miffed that 'pool got a late 3rd goal, cost me a 3 pointer in the Predictor game...

Last week's scores are fairly typical am. Scores in double figures aren't that common. My average score for the whole of last season was 7.3, I think Lawro's was similar. ???? is ahead of that on just over 8...

  17. Was the name Under 5's to do with not paying rail fares? Utd had a group called the Inter City Jibbers, motto ''To pay is to fail''...in other words, fare dodgers.
  18. Question for the 'appy 'ammers amongst us. Would you want Di Canio as your manager?...

Having the full footie kit was quite the thing back in the day. I was the only kid in my class at school to have one. I had to go to the sports shop to choose an iron on transfer number. Needless to say the No. 7 was out of stock, so had to make do with Our Bobby's No. 9...
