But sounding > a bit like a 20 stone momma on Jerry Springer > repeatedly yelling "you jus' jeeeaaallous! us' > jeeeaaallous! us' jeeeaaallous! " isn't that cool Oh but you did make it personal SJ. Your original post was aimed directly at me, not Utd fans in general. It's all about context and timing. You can try and dress it up as some off-the-cuff, whimsical, Proustian memory* ? la recherche du temps perdu, but the reality was that even with about 25mins** to go in the match, your excitable sweaty hands couldn't wait to hit that keypad. Admit SJ, my 'cheeky' post got to you. Don't worry, your halo is allowed to slip sometimes... *Cue Downton Abbey mood music **Allowing for current 15mins delay to EDF clock Not sure why you're playing the 'Springer Card'. The use of lots of sentences and words of more than 3 syllables, doesn't give anyone the moral high ground...

And if you read my post properly you'll see that I said it's odd that Aresnal fans comment on Utd before commenting on their own team...which is exactly what you did. You're not very good at this, are you?...

Of course, my team beat them. What's odd EP is that some fans dislike of another team appears to be greater than their liking for their own team. I hereby give maxxi permission to shoot me if BFS ever became our manager, presuming of course that he hasn't already taken out BFS...

What is it with Arsenal fans that they have to comment on a Utd game before their own team? You really need to work on that inferiority complex...

A Manc parkdrive How I respond to other posts is none of your business. Delusions of grandeur from SJ, suerly not. The fact that you posted a gloating comment around the time City's fourth goal went in, shows you're far more akin to PD in nature then I'll ever be...

Its called consistency Alan. Oh and class. Since when did Sunderland become the benchmark for the quality of the Premier League? Last time I looked they were bottom. If a player hasn't played in a league, then it's perfectly reasonable to say he's unproven in that league. Messi is unproven in the PL. Bale is unproven in La Liga, etc, etc. Any 'class' and 'consistency' a player has shown in another league is no guarantee that he will be successful in the PL, e.g. Veron, Shevchenko, Robinho etc, etc. Let's assume your 'fact' that the quality of La Liga is better than the PL, technically anyway, as most foreign players admit how much quicker and physical the PL is compared to foreign leagues. Will Ozil have come up against clodhoppers like Huth and Shawcross before? He has to prove himself against that type of player. Lots of other factors to consider too, e.g. climate, culture, food, more vocal fans, a mid-week League Cup away game on a frozen pitch at Barnsley. If he isn't a success in the PL, it doesn't mean that he isn't a great player, just that his game isn't suited to the PL...

SCSB79 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't think the email reminder works as I didn't > get one and completely forgot this week. > Can you add on Maxxi's at the end of the year?!?! Sorry SC, the maxxi is now defunct. The only allowance I'll make is if someone posts their predictions in the forum before kick-off deadline and forgets to do it online, as per Otta. The one thing I don't like about the new online system is that you can't tell whether someone has scored zilch because they forgot to do their predictions, or because they got all their predictions wrong, thereby making the much loved Coup de Mis?re redundant...
