It does sound a bit too NFL/NBA, but if their fans can put up with their kit changing to red, I can't see them moaning too much about this either as long as the club is successful. Maybe some other clubs could consider a name change, how about Chelsea Apprentices, club motto You're Fired...

The EDF Predictor Cup 6th Round Knock-Out Draw This was the draw, with the draw numbers shown in brackets... (3)Everton v Wigan(1) (6.)Man City v Barnsley(2) (4)Millwall v Blackburn(5) (7)Man Utd v Chelsea(8) I had to put a full stop after the 6, or else you end up with one of these (6)...how apt :) Taking the corresponding final table positions, these are the head to head's... SC v LG OT v JL Mx v EP RC v RD If both teams score the same number of points, any replayed game will act as a decider. If no replay or there is still a tie after the replay, then the most correct scores (previous rounds ignored) will decide who goes through. If it's still a tie, then the coin decides. For the semi-final draw, the numbers 1-4 will be used, and these numbers will be allocated to the 4 players that go through, with the player scoring the most points allocated No.1 etc. Again, if a tie, correct scores or a coin will decide. I'll copy and paste all this info again next week when I post the fixture list. There will also be 7 Premier League games over the FA Cup weekend, plus the last 2 rounds of the Champions League sandwiched either side, so it's going to be a busy couple of weeks...

The long wait is over, here are the FA Cup 5th round scores, and more importantly who's made it through to the 6th Round Knock-Out stage... JL - 4 Correct Results + 2 Correct Scores = 10 pts SC - 6 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 9 pts RC - 4 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 7 pts LG - 6 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 6 pts Mx - 3 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 6 pts RD - 3 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 6 pts AM - 5 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 5 pts EP - 5 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 5 pts OT - 5 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 5 pts MM - 4 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 4 pts LG and JL both finished with 22 points. They both forecast 3 correct scores over the 3 rounds, so I tossed a coin and LG won and so finishes above JL. EP and Mx both finished with 17 points. Mx forecast 2 correct scores to EP's 1, so Mx finishes above EP AM and RD both finished with 14 points. RD forecast 1 correct score, whilst AM failed to predict any, so RD finishes above AM. Check out the table to see the final positions. I'll confirm the knock-out draw for the 6th round in a separate message...

I'm not accusing Barca of being a boring team, I just prefer a more open, expansive style of play, esp with wingers. Barca play very narrow, and both Milan and Madrid succesfully stifled them in that area. Maybe Celtic taught the other clubs how it's done???... ;-)

Agree with SJ about hoping that Chelsea don't make the top four, although I'd substitute Everton for Arsenal ;-) Real Madrid looked ominously good last night. I never thought one day I'd want RM to beat Barca, but I much prefer their open, cavalier style of play to Barca's metronome tippy tappy...

Who is the administrator and why is it impossible to get in touch with them?!

Maybe mashcov has found out Admin's achilles heel, apparently if you wave a tin of Fois Gras at Admin he turns into a blubbering wreck, bit like Superman and Kryptonite... -

Braised Sausages in Cider (quantities serves 2-3, so adjust accordingly)... brown off an 8 pack of good quality Lincolnshire pork sausages, put to one side; meanwhile in a lidded casserole dish, fry off a 200g packet of good quality dry cure smoked lardons (streaky bacon cheap substitute) and around 225g of whole shallots in 1 tbsp of olive oil; when done, add a good heaped teaspoon of plain flour and bind into juices; then slowly add 375ml of strong dry cider, a crushed clove of garlic, a teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves, a bay leaf, and pepper to taste (no need to add salt), and give a good stir; finally add the sausages and a few whole sprigs of thyme; as soon as the mixture starts to bubble, put the lid on and place casserole in a pre-heated oven at 180degC; after 30mins remove lid and allow to cook for a further 30 mins; serve with lashings of creamy mash, if you want to sneak some greens in for the kids, shred a Savoy cabbage and add it to the cooking potatoes for the last 8-10 mins, then drain and mash as normal... ETA...typo re. quantity of shallots.

I don't think the allegations against CO'B, if found true, would make him a peadophile. It's alleged he groped young men, not underage children. If proven to be true, he abused his postion of power, and will go down as a massive hypocrite...but some of us already knew that about religion.

If you look at *Bob*'s graphic you will see that they are under 'Pest Control', not the main 'Most loved businesses in UK'...

Bale's excellent form is a double edge sword for Spurs' fans, he could get them into the Champions League but will he still be there next season?...can't see Madrid or Barca not going for him this summer, esp Madrid as it's 'let's elect a new President' time again...

Cheat's Chilli... 1 x Tin of Stagg Chilli Classic (they also do a Dynamite Hot and a Veggy version, I would use Classic and add your own Chilli to taste...M&S do a nice one, but not easy to get hold off locally ;-)); 1 x Jar of Loyd Grossman Tomato and Chilli Sauce (you might not want to add anymore chilli as this has a bit of a kick); 1 x Tin of Organic Kidney Beans (worth paying extra for organic). Put all contents into a pan and slowly heat through, serve with Basmati rice...

and something for the coffee table... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/419B%2BSJrMJL._SL500_AA300_.jpgDavid Bowie Is [Hardcover] - Publication 23/03/13 David Bowie is a pioneering artist and performer whose career has spanned nearly 50 years and brought him international acclaim. He has sold over 140 million albums, and been cited as a major influence on contemporary artists and designers working across the creative arts. This is the first book produced with access to the David Bowie archive of performance costume, ephemera and original artwork by the artist, which is brought together to present a completely new perspective on his creative work and collaborations. The book traces his career from its beginnings in London, through the breakthroughs of Space Oddity and Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, and on to his impact on the larger international tradition of twentieth-century avant-garde art. Essays by V&A curators on Bowie's London, image, and influence on the fashion world, are complemented by Christopher Frayling, Mark Kermode and Philip Hoare on film; Howard Goodall on musicology; Camille Paglia on gender and decadence; and Jon Savage on Bowie's relationship with William Burroughs and his fans.
