  1. Good. They'll get used to being disappointed in their national team a lot earlier than I did...

  3. Regardless of the prices, people have to make an effort to go, which indicates they do give a fook, and in large numbers too...

I doubt there was a bigger crowd over the international break. Agree about the breaks though...
  5. Same old shit I see... :)
  6. I think you could be right numbers. I've noticed, unlike the others, that he keeps making eye contact with the hidden camera, which might suggest he's deliberately playing up to it...
  7. Monster Munch and buttered Mother's Pride, lightly heated so that the butter begins to melt... *burps*
  8. They're back, just don't think they have the run of the room like they used to, think they might have redecorated. Not just the rooms, I've noticed quite a few of the viewees have changed physically...
  9. Yep, that was what I was alluding to Quids, throw in the 3-day week, Winter of Discontent, power cuts, OPEC crisis, double digit inflation/interest rates, Lib/Lab pact, and the Black & White Minstrel Show, and it was a shambles of a country. That all brought about Thatch and we're probably seeing something similar...

  11. Let's be clear. Biscuit means Biscuit. So that's Jaffa Cakes out for a start. It's got to be a biscuit that's quintessentially British, none of your foreign muck like Bourbons and Garibaldis. I see you've gone for the 'soft' Biscuit Seabag, but I'd be more inclined to go for the 'hard' Biscuit option, and I'm sure there's nothing more that Our Treez likes than to get her chops round a couple of Ginger Nuts whilst slurping on an Earl Grey...
  12. If a shop/business has an outside space the demarcation between what it owns and what the council owns is usually marked in the pavement, studs being a common way to show the division... http://urbanfinish.com/communities/8/004/009/203/628//images/4599573662.jpg

  17. The Jimmy Young Show?...1999?...there's no stereotype like an old stereotype
  18. You're going to have to sex it up a bit more than that Bobski to get the natives to bite...
  19. That's gentrification for you...
  20. You can put out a bird feeder all year round, try and position it so cats can't ambush the birds whilst feeding. Squirrel proof feeders are necessary too if you have them in your garden, otherwise they scoff the lot. Personally I use sunflower heart seeds, they are great energy wise for the birds. They also don't start growing when they inevitably drop to the ground whilst the birds feed on them. Lots of good advice here...http://www.rspb.org.uk/makeahomeforwildlife/advice/helpingbirds/feeding/
  21. Excellent! The House of Love's Shine On will definitely get an airing in the Friday Going Home thread. Shi shi shi shine on...

Skinny is definitely out (thank gawd), think straight leg, classic blue denim, 501 stylee...
  23. Agree, cord has always been out there, high end to high street, it's a wardrobe classic...
  24. I think it was wrong to throw him in with the U20's, albeit a 9 mins sub cameo. Each kid is different, Rooney was a boy in a man's body when he was a teenager, physically this kid is still a kid. I looked up Rashford's career path after reading about this, he too has played with older kids but only a couple of years older than him. When he was deemed too good for the U16's he went to the U18's, then the U21's when he was 18. Surely it makes more sense to play this kid with the next age group up and see how he gets on rather than jumping up 3/4 levels in one go....
