I'm with London Mix on this. Louisa is our very own Vera Lynn, the 'Forum's Sweetheart', keeping the troops entertained...

  5. Indeed, it's like the 'Guardiola effect', you've raised the bar... :)
  6. The average winning score from last season would be 28 points after 4 weeks, so lots of predictors doing well, keep it up...

I don't think you can restrict a search specifically to flats, although there is an advanced search facility, so maybe you can with that (I used the quick search e.g. postcode, road name etc) I chose Barry Road as it has a large number of houses converted into flats, so I made an educated guess it wouldn't take long to find a suitable application, and sure enough...
  9. West Ham's first 'big' game is against Arsenal in early Dec, so plenty of time to sort out the stewarding/standing up issue. Not sure if that's classed as high risk but a month later Utd rock up and I hear revenge is in the air for the attack on the Utd bus...

City were good in the first half, but I felt we backed off far much...Mourinho's liking for zonal marking explains that. At least he admitted that he goofed playing Lingard and Mikky after both coming back from injuries, and that he shouldn't have changed a winning team. Smalling was injured and in his absence Blind and Bailly have been good pre-Derby. A lot of the squad that haven't played much will surely get a run out on Thurs in the Europa League, including Smalling and Rashford. I thought we came back into the game well and on another day could've got a draw or even a win...

  16. But how do you define a 'proper racist/fascist'? The thinly veiled/casual racism/xenophobia of Farage and his ilk is far more of a danger than some knuckle dragging Seig Heiling Neanderthal...
  17. Yes, looks like Equisetum, I've seen them on sale in the garden centre next door to North Dulwich station, I believe they can be quite an invasive plant if not kept under control...

  19. In keeping with what the Victorians did... Flooring: Do try to be authentic. Carpets should be heavily patterned in dark green, red or pink and white, with large three-dimensional designs incorporating flower, animals and sometimes geometric motifs. Most Victorian houses had some carpets, but there was usually a two-foot wide margin around the perimeter, with the floorboards quite often stained or stenciled with geometric or floral designs.
  20. That's right DaveR. If you want the close boarded look, the best solution is a perimeter expansion gap under the skirting so it's not seen, i.e. the skirting board sits slightly above the floor boards. The gap can be filled with a flexible mastic to prevent draughts in either clear or a colour to match the floor boards. Personally I'd leave the gap if it's a period property as the building needs to 'breathe' a little...

The floorboards need a gap to expand into...
  23. I rarely pick 0-0, but WBA v Midds was a cert. The scores have been very good so far, last year's winning weekly average was a fraction over 7 pts, so anyone around 21 pts or better is doing well...
