  2. I am single parent family, the family (two daughters) stay generally with there mother and I have the pleasure of their company to get their car fixed when it gives trouble. Sadly I don't think I am the right age group for anyone to be interested 60+. So this is a totally irrelevent post, and I wished I had gone to bed earlier.

    I LOVE.....

    having cake and eating it.
  8. Fish wtote The Vatican has said that modern times bring with them modern sins. The catholic church is the same as any other big business it has its perverts and deviants in full measure. The corruption within permits those sins to continue. The same with the anglicans and their leadership struggles it is inherently corrupt otherwise it would not continue on it's present path.
  9. If I was in pain and no chance of improvement I would consider a whiff of gas for permanent sleep, or injection of morphine the way to go. I was told 'never to be afraid of death' because you die every night. I have never felt that life is that good to hold on to at all costs, if I were in uncontrollable pain give me the termination pill and let me go. I hope and pray for a doctor who is worldly wise enough to recognise that to give me a good send off.
  10. Mockney Piers wrote:Most successful UK sitcoms have boiled down to exploiting class differences Not in Porridge or Faulty towers really. The two most successful sitcoms I believe.
  11. Blackheath had an unusually thick sprinkling of gay and lesbian wine bars, don't know if it is still the case today though.
  12. Last time I bought a loaf from EDDeli it was a date and walnut about a half size loaf. It was sooooo delicious I ate the whole loaf that day. No good if you're watching your waistline. It was more than 2.50 though. I did buy a loaf from the moxon stall and found it to be quite expensive and a bit stale. I liked the presentation but was sadly disappointed chewing it.
  13. By all means a glass of red for the young lady, it will make the hurt go away after the second glass.
  14. Moonshine or not missey, I am not putting up with those lovey-doveys disturbing my best 'shadow tree', why my great granpappy planted that thar 'Shadow tree' when he were only a chile. Don'tcha know.
  15. I only discovered a couple of weeks ago the origin of that word but I have been hearing it for years. So HonaloochieB, yes I put my hands up to car ownership
  16. That KK is such a tease, leading us on and then 'wham' she switches everything off, and goes out to enjoy her self. How I envy her on such an occasion.
  17. Dear doe deer, don't die dear.
  18. Who is that couple disturbing my finest cotton bearing tree. I shall whup there hides. I'll fetch me a switch and give those critters what for. Dang me if I won't.
  19. To all students in debt. I was talking to a lady friend who had a 5k student loan outstanding 5 years after she had completed her degree. She was concerned that she didn't earn enough to repay it. My advice was to repay the minimum, or none if that is an option, and let inflation erode it like a mortgage gets cheaper after 4 years or so. Eventually it will become loose change, even though there is interest liable, it is still economically sound to let it be.
