  1. It's about time you two shacked up innit(?)
  2. I never thought there would be so much fear and loathing in ED forum, just to arrange a 'friendly' pint together.
  3. Ted Max a brilliant piece of prose:))
  4. A lady friend went to sell her flat in a block of nine. People making an offer had it surveyed, this stated block was moving on its axis so they pulled out. A year earlier the flat beneath was purchased by a surveyor. I have yet to be impressed by any surveyor that I have used. Generally I find competent builders a more useful species to deal with. So I'm with *Bob* on this: worst case, cover my arse, don't let anyone sue me, or make a claim on my insurance, because my premium will be too high, position
  5. It's not the men in your life that counts, it's the life in your men. Mae West A friend is one who knows you, and loves you just the same. Elbert Hubbard Beneath this sod, lies another one. Another tombstone epitaph attributed to Spike Milligan
  6. CPT is first choice plough cos I've never been there. My apologies to the people who could not make it last time but were there in 'spirits' and are obviously allowed to vote and I do hope the baby Lozzy lozlet is on the mend;-)
  7. The only forumistas allowed to place a vote are the ones who turned up to the upland bash. options so far:- CPT Clockhouse Magdala...................castle and vale far too controversial and montpellier too remote. Okay admin nows your chance to shine, how do we place our votes on your system please.

  9. Try the chandelier for cake and take a defibrillator (ressussitation equipment) with you;-)
  10. A survey on the positive values of gambling on society. I'll bet you cant do it under a tenner, quids;-)
  11. Yeah that sounds fair for a large centrally heated shoe box, is there an offer on it quids? I'm looking for a dead cert to invest in;-)
  12. Well done to Alicia, she's pressed all the 'right' buttons for me'. That Alicia isn't she a poisonous piece of work(?)
  13. The reason I like the Castle I feel sooooo middle class when I'm in there. It's the Castle then, and pop into Annaj's and Bignumber5's with a few tinny's for afters when we get turfed out:)).
  14. Any hilly bits of london are liable to "settlement" or subsidence if you are an under-pinner. Any flat bits of london are liable to flooding. Pays your money..........
  15. It took me years to integrate into london from my home town in the midlands, and I could not live anywhere else because I feel the country is just too limited. The biggest problem with the provinces are the people, they are so provincial, so I guess Alicia should fit in quite readily. My eldest daughter who has been living near her university in epsom, came back to live in london with a great sigh of relief, saying she will never leave london again. The town of epsom, a predominantly white middle class enclave is dull and limited. The advantages of things like employment, the arts, the wide variety of things happening in london makes it unique, and when I lived in Birmingham our second city, it only felt like a big Derby (my home town) never could it be considered to be a small london. Have a nice dull extremely limited life Alicia, you obviously deserve it.
  16. I wonder if the forum users group are big enough in number, to discount the purchasing of items. EG they might enjoy the benefits of cut price deals on insurance of houses, or group travel. Is it worthy of a new thread? Can you add any other ways to benefit from forum clout(?) Advantages of large-group purchasing-discuss.
  17. We must be getting near to the point of quoting the price we forumites are willing to pay for a pint during our special monthly bash. I would bet the Upland hasn't been so busy in yonks. Has anyone any figures on turn out(?) Where to next time, the clockhouse, CPT, Plough, Montpellier magdala anyone know anywhere else that might do for the cream of se22/15?
  18. Does he have a wet plaice under his cod-piece:)

  21. Even the greatest of fictional detectives made mistakes annaj;-)
  22. is he incontinent?
