  1. When is the earliest you can have a CHristmas fair? January the first is my guess!
  2. Sixty dollars will get you an AK47 in Mogadishu market, which I thought was a bargain. Hmm I wonder......is a tenner any good, for that scratched one, as the best has been knocked out of it?
  3. They shouldn't need to increase the fares when they remove the bendy's, they will get bus fares in which would not otherwise be collected, or am I being cynical.
  4. Good for you, thieving swine!
  5. You do have to take the users with you of course, and I would be very surprised if that happened although you might capture the big bad wolves.
  6. It sounds to me as if you are pushing your way in on the back of someone else's hard work.
  7. That's cos' they're out........ doin' it..........lucky little fuxes
  8. Children are a health hazard, they come home with a sniffle and cough and you collapse for the next two weeks in a feverish coma. Yes candj we have all been there. The only year I had no sniffles etc was when I swam every day, I guess the chlorine (mixed with the schoolkids urine) must have given me some kind of weird protection.
  9. I don't much care if the staff works, what's important is that I do.

You vote for your own elected representative, the majority party(ies) form a government and choose a first minister, the electorate have never voted one in. I know! I do not approve of the way Brown obtained his position, and I never shall. I have never agreed to "buggins turn" at any time in my life, I have always believed that the best man for the job, should get it. This is vital for the long term running of businesses and the country.
  11. bob wrote:- Sorry Steve T for not knowing the correct term for the "paving blocks" No apology necessary. A young chap should be getting drunk, stoned, and laid, not concerning himself with such trifles as 'brikets'.
  12. Lizzie wrote:- I bought a radiator for my bathroom from Bells in LL for about ?60 and then saw exactly the same thing in B&Q for double that. Admitedly it was on special offer but I bought the whole of my new bathroom from Bells and my builder said they were cheaper than anywhere else he'd seen. And I got fantastic service. Sorry Lizzie but I have to agree with Jeremy here, if you know anything about the trade the first thing you would look in for competitive prices is the Screwfix catalogue. Bells is minutes away from me but I have found their prices soooo prohibitive that I would only call there if I had a bad leak and could not turn the water off. It sounds like you acquired a bargain, so good for you.
  13. Pronounce economics and keep a straight face. The environment is polluted, employment is on very lean times, and the Health service is a long unnecessary wait in the queue for most of us. How strange you should pick up on that particular point Moos are you feeling threatened?

    Never...

"Nothing to declare but my humility" as you know Mr Copperfield I am so 'umble"
  15. It's coming back on Wednesday. Big winds and bad weather, as we are in the 'eye' of the hurricane.

    Never...

Some character stood in front of Oscar Wild barring his path and said "I never stand aside for poofs" Wild replied,"Well I always do" and walked around him" Why don't we have answers like that when we need them?
  17. I would feel less loathsome about Brown if he had been elected, but I have never felt that he was up to the job. Creeping in to rule on the Blair coat-tails should have been illegal. The thought of Lord Snooty in the driving seat makes me shudder, he looks too young even for an upstart. Lib-Dems have not blotted their copy book but who has genuine confidence in them? If you vote BNP then you will have difficulty being employed after the info on you has been dropped on the net by a spiteful party member. The Greens seem harmless enough to fail miserably. Ukip naaaah. We get the government we deserve...........what did we do wrong to deserve this.....oh yeah, we left them to it. We voted them in, which gave them their job, which was then abused with theft, scandal, and deceit, then we vote them back in! We do not punish them to the letter of the law, is there really no alternative?

  19. B&Q are by no means infallible as I learned some years back when I had to have a front door lock, that day, it was ?65, the following week I saw the same lock at Brick lane market for ?15, I thought they had made a mistake when pricing it up, until I saw a second one for the same price. Doh!

  21. Whenever you have the time and the inclination, there's never anything happening........ Turn up somewhere with a minger on your arm who you would rather not be with and there's miles of it available for others, why is that?
  22. ......'er bed, unless you're an insomniac.
  23. Brockwell lido gym quoted me more than double the price of Goose Green for a years membership.
  24. small littel uneven brikets Which are known as paving blocks, can be driven over by parking vans etc, and they sink rather than crack like the paving slabs would.
  25. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a curtain track from the little DIY shop near Somerfield in Lordship Lane. They always seem to have what you want and there are plenty of staff so waiting is minimal. Today I bought the same track and fittings from B&Q for a third (?7 instead of ?21) of the price of LL. Gutted, but wotchya gonna do! The moral of this story, buy 2 in the first place then you will never know what someone else is charging.
