  1. There are several Bob's, on this forum monica, we, and no doubt he, wants to know who is the lucky man?
  2. We tend not to post 'good things' nearly enough, well done that person.
  3. Tessa Jowell filled the very next space
  4. Has the ED housing market reached the bottom yet ( II ) I do not know why this thread is still alive. There aint no change in this market for the next 4 years, it will be going down for two years, languishing for the following two years and around the end of that time, maybe, it will start to improve slightly. Can't we let this thread die now, like the property market?
  5. I knew a lady some years ago who had ME before it was considered to be 'real' and then she somehow got involved with a complete and utter yobo who was deemed unsatisfactory. She never looked back and last I heard was progressing superbly. So there is life after ME. You might tell your sister RosieH, that things always change in life, and one day she will meet her yobo in trainers and tracky bottoms, who will give her a 'good seeing to' that'll get the phlegm off her chest, and it will all come right for her, this present condition will all be history. It is rather like traipsing through the dark tunnel, eventually you come out to life at the other end. I wish her well.

  10. The place most likely to rap your knuckles, for speaking the truth.
  11. I received a recorded parcel, I didn't have to sign for it (even though I was in at the time of delivery) as it was left in the porch. Some signed for service I must say.
  12. Any description of the attackers?
  13. If it was named East Dulwich 'FORUM' 2008 Awards, then it would cover all the users of the forum and the areas they move in.
  14. Only the blagger who made off with the takings, he got a hernia...
  15. If only I were a boy, rather than a grumpy old man.
  16. I seem to see 'gangs' or convoys of almost empty buses, cluttering up the place when they are least needed, and none to be found when we most desire them. Some things never change. Perhaps if the driver received a percentage of the days takings of his bus, it would result in rather less convoys.
  17. 10 am this morning I saw a steaming locomotive crossing the bridge at Herne Hill, pulling ancient looking carriages and heading towards Dulwich. It seemed I'd been caught in a time warp, I cannot remember when I last saw, heard, and smelled a steam train. Because the bridge has low sides you could see the whole engine puffing out steam and he sounded his whistle as he crossed over it. I thought it was exciting anyway.
  18. My apologies to you beatnic, and to any other forumistas whom I may have unintentionally insulted in my, 'too direct' line of questioning. It smelled of, not exactly a hard sell, but a rather persistant one. I shall try to be a little more tactful in future. I'm the only animal in this household, as dogs and any other animal, are such a time consuming commitment.
