'Today Mascoli said that he will still be involved in the business and that Fulham Shore intend to keep the restaurants as they are.' Yes, calm down Fox... -
I am planning a DIY wedding and we are looking for a hall or similar kind of place where we could feed and water around 50 people, in or around East Dulwich/Peckham. Any ideas people?

I'm with EE and have no problems with them.

I have had my hair cut there since they opened, have had it cut by Shingo, Pauline, Gemma and someone else, and have been extremely satisfied every time.

Any good hairdresser recommendations please

What doctors surgery would you recommend?

Chadwick Road now offer a telephone consult if there are no appointments and if you need to be seen they will see you that afternoon. I have always found the receptionists helpful, given they have an inflexible system to work with. -

As one of the 'toffs' (hoho) living in the 9 year old Aura Court development on the East side of Peckham Rye I can tell you the tree that was felled was a horse chestnut that has been getting sicker and sicker from the virus that has been infecting horse chestnuts all over the country. It was a shame to see it go and I hope that a replacement tree is planted in due course, but in the last year it barely had any flower or fruit on it.

I would like to recommend Matt from Hither Green Oven Clean http://www.hithergreenovenclean.co.uk. My ovens were embarrassingly filthy and within 2.5 hours they were sparkling - ?90 for two ovens, a gas hob and stainless steel extractor hood, and the replacement of one of the light bulbs. No smelly cleaners are used and he left the kitchen spotless. Thoroughly recommended!

Looks like they are taking over the fantastic furniture shop - will be interesting to see how they settle down amongst the established traders... -
Guinea pigs are ideal - friendly, very easy to handle, rarely bite (we had 20 at one time!), clean, make the most adorable noises when they are happy, and live for around five years.

You have my utmost sympathies, but given the proximity of Denmark Hill to A&E I would have thought it would have taken longer to get an ambulance than to nip down and borrow a wheelchair anyway.

All the hairdressers at Shingo are excellent, I have tried four at least and always feel in safe hands - thoroughly recommended.

New Shops in Dulwich / Peckham
Peckhamrye replied to LondonMix's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
This thread seems to have crystalized into Louise and Dulwich Fox against everyone else? Which must indicate something...places change, people change, we live in one of the most vibrant, burgeoning diverse cities in the world. If you really dislike what is happening round here then yes, realise your assets and move to Nantwich. -

Le Chardon (yes, I know) does good steak and chips and fish offerings. -
Oh for God's sake - they are part of the Peckham Places/Spaces project to introduce a bit more humanity into the area - if you are that worried about your bike get a better lock.
