  1. Hi Edhitory, I saw an advert from The Sherbourne Trust looking for new tenants.
  2. We dropped in at 3.00 this afternoon for a spot of late lunch - didn't feel pressured to sit in any particular part of the pub and a party of six arrived and soon decamped to the 'seated' bit. I trust the staff will play it by ear whether they need to keep a dining bit or not. Anyway, we had the terrine and crab on toast - really good quality food, up to comparison with our regular The Montpelier in Peckham. Beer is well kept too.
  3. We live on the Nunhead side of Peckham Rye - heard the chopper then looked out on the balcony and saw all the bikes heading south with police cars in hot pursuit - hope they all got rounded up.
  4. Kuki on Bellenden Road are excellent www.kukihair.com
  5. I haven't had children and have had a Myrena both fitted (brief pain but little after effects) then removed after five years (a fortnight ago) due to no fault of its own and it was pain free apart from a short sharp uncomfortable tug. It was great having no periods and I am now pretty much post menopausal with very few side effects apart from the odd hot flush and a bit of dryness easily sorted through a topical cream. It was fitted to deal with extremely heavy periods and was a Godsend.
  6. Opening times, menus etc. here http://thecherrytreedulwich.co.uk/
  7. Mine was when I was 18, first year at Stirling University at the Qismat, in 1980...never looked back, love curries, eating them and making them.
  8. A 343 will get you there safely.
  9. Every day I see abandoned pedigree dogs and pleas from Rescue Centres for re-homing - I would be judgemental about you wanting to breed. What is your motive?
  10. I live in a 2007 new build and the sound proofing is excellent, much better than the Victorian conversion I lived in previously.
  11. I think the restaurant offering changes so is a 'pop up' but the venue itself is permanent?
  12. Have been in The Prince Albert a couple of times since the makeoever and like it - at the moment a haven on a Saturday night!
  13. We have always enjoyed the food from Fish Chips and More, never tasted stale oil on our (not particularly refined) palates. The fish has always been excellent.
  14. So everything is shaping up rather nicely....
  15. The Clockhouse and Dulwich Woodhouse are perfect examples of what Youngs are doing to their pubs - not only selling out their brewery but destroying the architectural heritage of their pubs too. And they are so expensive!
  16. Hi Valeenitt, we are considering doing the same in our bigger block (50 flats) also mis-managed by OM. Would be interesting to see how you get on?
  17. We have replaced our wool carpets with wooden floors - the carpets had been nibbled to buggery in hidden places before we realised what was happening!
  18. And you let them decide where you drink? How do they know if you go to the EDT too?
  19. It was felled months ago, it was a very sickly horse chestnut - a sad loss but necessary I think. I live in Aura Court so have observed its decline over the last few years.
  20. http://www.glassinlondon.co.uk/contact-us.html Very good, just at this end of Rye Lane.
  21. Kuki Hair on Bellenden Road are great, search the forum for all the glowing recommendations.
  22. Some of our local 'craft' beers aren't jumping on the strength bandwagon so much - Brickhouse Brewery and Late Knights Brewery for starters. The Ivy House usually have a good selection of local beers on.
  23. I go to Pauline, always excellent on my short fine hair.
