bloke tried to rob celestial, the shop on lordship lane, today. he grabbed a posh handbag and legged it.... followed by a girl from behind the counter. she chased the thief down the road and into dulwich grove. by this time a guy from white stuff had joined in, along with two people who jumped out of their cars to help. the terrified robber dropped the bag and fled.

I find that a judicious nudge as they ride past works wonders. bladdy cyclisys!! -
always appeal they will always dismiss it out of hand, but then you should go to arbitration. I did and on the day of the hearing got a phone call to say that southwark had not responded and that the ticket was wiped out. apparently they never turn up. most paople just pay up, but I refused cos southwark were wrong more people should stand up to them. they are bullies.

New Tesco Supermarket by the Plough?

tesco and sainsbury don't seem likely to me. and there is no evidence that foxtons are closing. -
nothing to do with green and blue. their landlord apparently applied for permission to expand a couple of years ago,was turned down but went ahead anyway. council enforcement officers have been following up for a year . the new rebuild scheme would appear to be a compromise

I see from the planning notice on a tree outside that the back end of green and blue is to be demolished and rebuilt smaller. it seems the developer built it all without planning permission and must now pay take the consequences

the horrible co-op "supermarket" by peckham rye has been shut down and it is being taken apart. a sign outside says "new store coming soon" anyone know what it will be? I know the co-op took over somerfield (what a marriage) so maybe that has something to do with it.

I found the rant posted on the green and blue website rather hysterical and I see it has now been deleted by them. I don't have legal training, but it did seem very libellous. admin here might be well advised to follow suit. like the other person below I went to celestial to ask for an explanation. it seems the whole thing has been going on for months. celestial say that back in august they allowed g&b's landlord to dig up their yard and that weeks ago they agreed that drain experts could dig through from the yard under the shop and take care of the blockage. this work will begin on tuesday next. one thing they wouldn't do was allow the shop to be dug up because it wasn't necessary the young woman beind the counter was friendly and very willing to answer my questions. maybe others on here should not be so quick to jump to conclusions. no one wants any shops in the lovely lane to suffer.
