had an OP appointment at kings at 3.30 yesterday. on arrival, I was told the clinic was running late and the waiting time was 50 mins. I finally got to see the consultant at 5.20. like most sane people I love the nhs, but I am sure it can and must do better than this.

my contribution in defence of dogs seems to have been deleted, along with the replies to it. hey-ho. to be frank I do not trust people who do not like animals. cats and dogs share the planet with us and should not be discriminated against because others have frankly ludicrous phobias and affectations.

is it a coincidence that this post appears on the day it is revealed that new dog control orders are springing up everywhere? I find it impossible to believe that the police could do nothing about this attack. after all, this was a clearly dangerous dog and a deranged owner. dogs are really coming in for a concerted attack just lately. dogs are supposed to be on leads in the street. but they can and should be free to trot and run around in the parks.southwark tried to keep dogs out of public spaces a year or two ago and were soundly beaten back. this will just encourage the dog hating gestapo to creep out of the shadows again. someone on here declared that they have right not be approached in the park. no they don't. most dogs walk right past. they are very sociable creatures and much given to wagging their tales at strangers. if anyone objects to this then they have a problem and should deal with it and leave the doggies alone.

two women went into white stuff and celestial. they looked dodgy and staff in those shops watched them, so the pair. other traders were warned by the excellent police alert box that most sops have. the two thieves finally found themselves in soup dragon nicking stuff. police nabbed them. where they were caught. well done all concerned. if you want any more dominiatus you'll have to go into the shops concerned and ask.

following the success of staff of celestial and white stuff in thwarting shoplifters (see this week's southwark new p1) comes news that a pair of would-be shoplifting "ladies" were nabbed after attempting to rob soup dragon. the cops were there within mins to apprehend the miscreants.

god, worra miserable, tight-assed shower of guardian reading angst a lot of you are. these horrendous selfish hags and their ludicrous child vehicles are a menace on the pavements and in the cafes. rude, arrogant and utterly self absorbed. it is even worse outside the peckham rye cafe when they take it a step further with mass militant breast feeding. one them followed this up by changing her sprog's disgusting nappy on the grass by the cafe, while continuing her conversation with a friend. yucchhh!

bloke tried to rob celestial, the shop on lordship lane, today. he grabbed a posh handbag and legged it.... followed by a girl from behind the counter. she chased the thief down the road and into dulwich grove. by this time a guy from white stuff had joined in, along with two people who jumped out of their cars to help. the terrified robber dropped the bag and fled.
