  1. ESPH do an assessment on your physical condition and then a trainer recommends exercises to do. Could be worth trying and ask to focus on pelvic floor exercise. Then I must say, I found it hard to commit to go the gym regularly.
  2. thank you Syd for the link; time to tell DMC some facts on their practice!
  3. Thanks a lot for your feedback, much appreciated and very useful :-)
  4. I booked a week away in Broadstairs in Feb. I will be driving on my own from ED with both kids on board and it will be my first 'long trip' ever as I am also a new driver. Apart from being patient and expecting anything, what do I need to plan so that the 2 hours are not becoming my worst nightmare... Any tips are welcome Thanks
  5. I had a friend on stand by with a page of note on the routine of my daughter stuck on the fridge. Also I had 2 ladies from her nursery on stand by who were able to bring her back home. My neighbours offered to help as well.
  6. we had the same issue with my daughter and put the blame on teething until we were completely exhausted and went to see a paediatrician. She suggested to try lactose free formula ( sma) + probiotics and within 2 nights, the problem was solved. We still gave her dairy during the day. 2 years after she is still on lactose free milk, has dairy during the day and is not allergic to lactose.
  7. I highly recommend Andrew L McCracken - his mobile number is 07894 830392. He is very friendly and professional. I learnt how to drive because I had to ( 2 kids) but after a few lessons I really enjoyed driving. I passed first time in October ( started the lessons in June). Will start the pass plus next week and go on the motorway! Usually I use the EDF recommendations but the driving instructors were fully booked.
  8. Very surprised with these bad comments for the Deli: I always feel welcome by the workers; I go there on average once a week and their products are good; I love their brownies, their quiches, the walnut and raisin bread and the olive breads are great. I wanted some foie gras for Christmas and they gave me a call once it has arrived. Compared to other local shops, prices for the cakes, quiches and breads seem ok to me. For the rest I cannot comment as I go somewhere else.
  9. I had them last night yesterday as well; not happy at all; the 5min turned into 15min about alarms, fire detectors, having the house connected to a sort of call centre, playing on the ''fear'' factor for instance : ''there is a panic button if someone breaks into your house while you are sleeping and we will be there immediately''. '' You need to have you smoke detectors checked every year else if you leave a toast and it burns then you can have a fire and you would not know ...'' . I usually never answer in the evening but I was expecting someone. won't happen again...
  10. Hello, it is not Dulwich but why not the French institute in South Ken? They do courses in the evening and during the day as well. I heard very positive feedback from it. My brother in law used it and his French improved a lot ( I am French). http://www.institut-francais.org.uk/french-courses/learn-french/
  11. getting up out of bed very late and on Christmas Day!
  12. Hi there, I can recognise myself in your post as I had the same dilemma during my second pregnancy. I thought I was strongly for a second C-section but I did not like the idea of leaving Number 1 for a few nights. I read the book below which helped me to relax about the natural birth. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vaginal-Birth-After-Caesarean-Handbook/dp/1905177240 In the end after months of thoughts I decided to go for a natural birth. Then of course, my baby was late and as I did not want to be induced, I planned another C-Section for a Thursday. Then my baby came on the Sunday before... and at home... It went so fast I did not go to the hospital. The baby was fine and I found myself very lucky to have the Lanes midwifes on my side! On the recovery side, I thought it would be quicker to recover vs C-section. But saying that among the second time mums I know, recovery for elective C-section was longer as well. We were 4 out of 7 to have a C-section in my second time mums group; 1 had an elective C-section both times; 1 had a VBAC after a first emergency c-section, I had a HBAC after an elective c-section and 1 had 2 emergency C-section. SO difficult to give a trend! I could discuss that subject for hours... All the best with your decision!
