Uncleglen, I am a parent who worked very long hours and gave up luxuries to send my children to Alleyn's. I was just irritated by the loudness of the PA system which enabled me, who was not attending the event, to hear in minute detail what going on and who won what in the raffle. It must have been deafening to be at the school!

What a relief! My grand daughter cried all night when her beloved monkey went missing so advised my other daughter to get a duplicate of whatever toy my grandson couldn't be without! -
That's what I heard over their loud PA system!

Lots of local schools have events today which is good as it provides lots of varied activities for the children. It's just the loud speaker that irritates me!

I can hear every word being shouted through a tannoy at Alleyn's and know this will go on for several hours. If I'm not mistaken, it culminates in a fireworks display. Fireworks I can cope with but the ridiculously loud tannoy is going to annoy me.

I definitely recommend the dry cleaners next to the post office on LL. Timpsons are expensive and I have found them quite rude.

How frustrating.... I don't think Royal Mail was ever going to listen to locals or their posties. They'll be doing a lot of redeliveries! -
If people in my street have requested a bike hanger, it needs to be installed nearer at least one of the prospective users and not just by the corner where the extended yellow lines made get be painted. We also get a lot of extra parked cars from staff at the new school. I am not against the hangers themselves but they need to be placed thoughtfully and where they are actually needed.

RH, nobody in the area of the prospective hanger owns a bike.

They want to put a bike hanger outside my neighbour's house in an area where nobody owns a bike. It is near a junction and in a part of the street where parents dropping children off at the new primary school park. If you add in the possible extra double yellow lines we have been threatened with, we residents will have nowhere to park!
