I think this consultation only refers to the over subscription for 6th form entry not in lower years > I can't do links but you can get a paper copy of > the SLP in any newsagents or in Sainsburys to see > the full advert.
  4. Hi, I'd like recommendations for a psychologist /pyscho therapist who has experience with teen/pre teen. Preferably local to SE22. Many thanks

Momentum were (still are?) applying pressure on Harman to not stand for Speaker or to accept Labour putting a different candidate in place to run against her (as she will be an Independent as Speaker)for the C&P seat. It's all about the numbers - if she is successful in her stand for Speaker and her seat goes uncontested (as is convention) then Labour loses a previously 'guaranteed' seat.

Just to emphasise you automatically go onto the waiting list for any school on your list of preferences above that which you were allocated. You should accept the one you've been allocated, you can always accept a waiting list place if one is offered but if you don't accept your allocated place and you're then not offered a waiting list place you effectively have no school and the local authority has no responsibility to place you.

  8. Yep, our cat keeps bringing in frogs (Dovedale Road), as far as I know there are no near neighbours with ponds - I'd love to keep them in my garden to deal with the slugs/snails etc but my cats just use them for sport😔
  9. Any info on gluten free pizza at these joints? Voodoo Ray's gf is pretty good, Franco Manca used to be the best, unfortunately they changed supplier a few weeks back and the new base is awful (to the devastation of my 12yr old gluten allergy daughter😔). Would love to know if any of the others cater for gf
  10. Not flowers actually it's a fresh fruit drinks stall
  11. New (small) market on Forest Hill Road oppon the wide pedestrian area outside the Galleon/Co-op etc. Flowers, artwork, and what looks like a yummy afhgan food stall.
  12. 2nd for beauty haven, uses a gun rather than needle though so depends what part of the ear you want pierced (ie through cartilage or not)
  13. Thanks all x
  14. Let the holidays commence!! Well for the children anyway - for those of you juggling work and childcare for the next few weeks Gumboots summer play project offers quality affordable childcare, you can book full weeks or individual days to suit.
  15. I find this sort of activity a real waste of time and money - presumably it requires employees to administer this when nhs resources are already stretched beyond limits. Call me miserable, but i'd rather the nhs spent its limited funds on more important stuff.

My husband is from East Sheen and when visiting his family home in the 90s, the windows would visibly shake when concorde went over, coming from a pit town in the NE I thought it was the end of days the first time it happened. They all strangely missed it when concorde was no more...

  20. Hi Digbina, My daughter has been playing at SMCC (Streatham and Malborough) for 4 years now and it is a very family friendly and inclusive club - the quality of training has increased over the years and the kids all seem to be very happy. The ethos of the club in terms of match selection has always been a good balance of putting out the side with the best chance of winning whilst also giving every child an opportunity throughout the season to play some matches (there are lots of inter-club friendlies organised throughout the summer too). What age group is your son? The club is always happy to accommodate new players for a trial first to see if they like it. If you contact [email protected] you should get a quick response to any further questions you have. Take care x

It's very likely to be on offer day. There is another stat that comes out at the time the schools start in September I think
  22. Streatham and Malborough Cricket Club (located on the corner of Dulwich Common/Lordship Lane despite its name!) are looking for more girls, especially in school years 5-7, to play league cricket this year. Why not come along next week and give it a go? Most clubs have the boys playing hard-ball and the girls playing soft-ball. Not SMCC! The girls love hard ball cricket - with pads and gloves and helmets. It's great fun. They love it and they want more girls to come along and play alongside them. All abilities are welcome, coaching provided by professional coaches. SMCC is a fun, inclusive and sociable club. https://www.smccjuniors.co.uk/2019-summer-term-cricket-season/girls-teams . My daughter has been playing since Yr4 (now in year 7) and it is a fantastic team sport for girls - very supportive, lots to learn but lots of fun - the girls are a really lovely bunch. You can register for a taster session, just fill in the registration form online and then email [email protected] to let the club know your daughter wants to give it a go. P.S. Don't worry about protective kit - there will be plenty that they can borrow.
