Do we have a housing crisis in London or not? Will investment in housing be driven by transport links? Does the OKR in general have more opportunity for development? All a straight 'yes' as far as I can see if i remove what suits me and other tax payers in Camberwell, East Dulwich & Peckham...

if we remove our own self-interest...then the OKR makes more sense for investment/renewal by a country mile

The thing is I think you guys are missing the point on this - especially with Farag ( but I think the same applies to Trump probably). It is really not about who they actually are at all - brits aren't idiots about Farage it's blatantly obvious his background when he opens his mouth (which he does far too frequently) the clothes he wears etc and he never tries to hide/disguise his background....it's just not an issue in the way, I'm struggling not to be accused of the same old here, that 'metropoplitans' and 'the left' in general think it is (*see also Labour's failure to hit any traction with their continuous 'posh boys' line with Osbourne/Cameron). It is what they are saying which is anti-establishment, and it genuinely is, as the last few months have absolutely demonstrated. None of this post is an indicator of support for either of these two to be clear before everyone flys off again but it really is the lack of understanding about this as demonstrated by both of you here that explains why Metro Liberal such as us (yes me included) are wondering what the fook has happened. Basically Farage is a posh stockbroker who went to public school - the vast majority of UKIP voters know this I suspect. Trump is a celebrity billionaire - the vast majority of his voters know this. No-one is being hoodwinked. They don't care about the 'messenger' in either case. You're both barking up the wrong tree....and you are not alone.

Malambu - i think if you stopped saying "you lot" in front of every other post it would help a lot. Given that there are 3 regular posters in Football Focus who I have seen at Dulwich Hamlet on several occasions you're assumptions about how 'us lot' follow football are horsh!t. You frequently do this too, so it starts to get a bit annoying.

Heath's attack on the unions was a spectacular failure - the hyper inflation of the 70s was accelerated by the failure of Wilson's Income Policy - which failed because of the unions.

I think it's about 1/4 they'll hold the balance of power And you think that a Labour Party will support "a reverse the referendum" line? Really? Bonkers was a lighthearted way of saying delusional, which you are on this. There is no way the referendum get's reversed - even with the LDs holding balance of power ...i think your scenario that the EU doesn't exist in its current state is a more likely halt to Brexit.

You honestly believe a LD going to the country with a manifesto commitment to reverse Brexit will get elected....you're bonkers.

Bizarre linking attacks on unions with fuelling inflation - Wilsons failed 5% wage policy of the 70s to try and curb inflation was continually thwarted by unions, when they had the power -frankly rubbish economics there jay. The Tories attack on trade unions was arguably a factor in the reduction of 70s hyper- inflation rather than the other way round.

The EU CAP actually means we are overpaying for our food already - a proper free market* in food would see a reduction in food prices, especially staples. *I understand that this is easier said than done

Brexit is nothing of the sort - hysterical (in both senses of the word) claptrap...people need to get some perspective about democratic decisions that don't go 'their way'

Something i read today,, Italy per capita income no higher now than 18 years ago (yes Eighteen!) Output is the same level as the early 80s The economy 7% smaller than in 2008 The population is 1 million higher youth unemployment is now at 48% ( no wonder there 200,000 young italians in London - including my cousin's kids) EU (or more specifically the Euro I guess) can cost a fair bit for some -
