  1. of course, back in the day the forum actually got on the BBC 6oclock news - it's all been down hill since as we're highlighting a restaurant review in the Telegraph......
  2. I love the objective, non-partisan and rational voice of our own EDF Economist. Jump the shark point on politics on here for me....
  3. Well now i've won my 3/3 in the Rugby Prediction games, I'm ready to apply my technique back on the football :)
  4. Do you get to keep the trophy after your third victory? :) Thanks Dr - see you all next year
  5. Well - i didn't do well with that bunch!
  6. In reality, I think a lot of the gentrification had already happened by 2002
  7. Done mine - as Rendell said I think these are all tough calls...
  8. Another point is by modern middle class standards most of 70s/80s London would be considered rough - including some of what are now massively wealthy areas
  9. Yes - so basically, as this thread shows, anyone who actually was here back in the day is laughing at the 'rough' myth because it is complete bullshit!
  10. East Dulwich rough in 2002? That's hysterical - fook me some people have had sheltered lives
  11. For some people Working Class equals rough....they also don't like hostile tones and cockney accents I reckon

Yes because areas outside gentrified ones are beacons of civility and courtesy - sounds like another Guardian reader talking upper crap to me. Middle class guilt crap.

  20. There used to be some others on here but now it feels like it's just me who think that East Dulwich's poor transport links are part of its appeal - far less transient and more local. If we had a tube for eg we'd soon be like Clapham North - full of Saffas and Aussies..whereas we only get the quality one's of course :). Fooks given about SE22's transport by me? None. - i just sit on the 40 most mornings up to E&C and enjoy it. The tube from Elephant is the sh1tiest part of my commute by far!
