I think 'culturally' you could argue our behavior is possibly unacceptable and unnempathetic and there's the past of course - but we aren't the only fans meeting in large numbers, drinking loads and singing* but WE are the only ones being teargassed and charged at for doing this. Plenty of welsh fans also mixing with the English last night getting the same treatment. I've seen no evidence at all that England fans have "started" any trouble; worth noting that the 40,000 in Germany 10 years ago caused no bother with better policing. *some of the songs are unpleasant too.

Such sanctimony - so typical of middle class, left wing righteousness. I'm just in Remain but can see why Brexit is gaining momentum. Sovereignty does matter but fundamentally political engagement matters enormously and the EU is failing massively and across the continent; in part because of the 'we know best' attitude of those at the top but also blatant avoidance of democracy via the Lisbon Treat for eg. One persons keeping workers rights is another's existing job protectionism causing massive youth unemployment (especially among the poorest and marginalized in places like France and Spain, we won't even think about Greece). UK is first place to have the living wage; one of the first with same sex marriage; first to have a Muslim mayor elected to an important political role; to act like we are some kind of backward pariah in opportunity and equality is the narrative of middle-class, country hating,left wing, Guardian readers.

I was absolutely convinced remain would win but there just seems to have been a massive turnaround in a week or so - I've seen people on Facebook who I thought would 100% be remainers saying they are voting out; Many tories are out as we know but huge number of trad Labour voters in the North and Wales especially look to be voting out. Obviously the polls are reflecting this too.

England fans now attacked in the stadium

Tonight we are going to get the normal sh1tevabout England fans- the cunts of Twitter are already away- when apparently completely innocent England fans have been targeted, assaulted and some quite badly hurt by organised groups of Russians and Locals; the police have apparently been at best indifferent and at worse joining in on the free for all on England supporters. Hope this gets out properly but media so far not encouraging.

I have a couple of mates there English fans have been attacked by 'locals' & Russian fans the police reaction is heavy handed - sins of the past coming to get them and undoubtedly some idiots but not quite what the media ate saying. Boozing all day not helping though I suspect.
