  1. By tradition it's "Tin" so get them a can of Baked Beans
  2. it didn't take him long, the lying tosser. The idea that we could have an improved service without increased fares was of course fooking economic fantasy that the Labour Party specialises in.
  3. Has anyone seen the Trumpton Fire Brigade actually put out a fire? - it's all rescuing Mr Miggins' hat and playing the same tune at the bandstand.

  5. No Rah - I haven't scoured this thread at all; that was just the first E.G of an awareness that Root has been 'ranting' about Brexiters, as others seemed to have agreed at a few points too! My point remains, there are plenty of decent non-bigoted arguments for Brexit....
  6. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Root hasn't been ranting. Ha ha ha - this for eg: merely stating a fact. It's either ultra nationalism, or xenophobia, or breaking free from environmental regulations. There's not much else
  7. A view on exit that isn't based on the stereotyping rants of the like of root http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/08/eu-reform-green-brexit BTW i don't subscribe to much of this as I think the Greens want us back in the Stone Age :); but the point is there are plenty of arguments for brexit not based on harking back or racism. For me the economic uncertainty at my age and with my responsibilities makes me a cowardly Remains and I will bother to vote for these selfish reasons. The strongest argument for Brexit for me is a lack of political engagement with an institution that is increasingly unaccountable; has a dare I say it a 'european' attitude towards the plebs - the elites know best; and looks impossible to reform - i fear it will end in tears. PS I do like the way all my lefty mates are suddenly citing the opinion as FTSE CEOs, the IFS, the IMF and Goldman Sachs et al as proof of the need to stay in.
  8. The food certainly has always been shite as long as I can remember and the service ditto - i didn't mind a pint in the alcove bars on a wednesday night in winter or a Boxing Day pint. But never a big fan either Otta.
  9. I think the difference is Clinton swerved Iraq by no longer being President by 9/11 which is the main hatred for Tone, In terms of money grabbing there's not much difference, in fact the Clinton brands probably worse with shady property deals etc

We got in via a referendum. Anyway the EU ignored the referendum on constitutional change from France and made the Irish do it again until they got it 'right'. Plus what Loz said about Roots' prejudice rant - ironic given I presume you (root) think you're the 'free thinker' to spout such a bunch of stereotypical nonsense. There are plenty of people who are questioning the direction that the EU is taking; the lack of political engagement it engenders; and the longer term prospect for it; who aren't swivel eyed bigots who think Britain is superior...

Ireland's There's not an EU economy as a single entity Loz your comparison is meaningless

Yup - but that's apples and oranges;we are Germany and France's 3rd biggest export market (and Ireland's first)and apparently a larger share of our Exports went to the EU before we joined! This "little old Britain couldn't possibly exist by itself" stuff doesn't convince me that much and the moral high ground rubbish seeping all over Social Media is reminding me of the smuggy Corbyn/Labourites WE ARE MORALLY RIGHT enough that I'm tempted to vote out. Saw some crap in The Guardian by Eddie Izzard today trying to tie up D-day with a moral duty to vote YES...I wonder how many actual D-Day veterans still alive believe that?A small minority is my feeling. Remember all the scare stories about missing out on the Euro being similar and the rise of right wing nationalism and anti-EU parties hardly feels me with confidence about the future of the EU without us...I think others would follow
  16. same old boring unpleasant stereotyping. I mix with parents in SE22 everyday and hardly EVER hear or see this 'braying, snobbery/entitlement" that the chippy usual suspects bang on AND ON about. Farewell to you and your chippy insecurity.

Been sitting their for hours annoying me. I'm almost happy you got it.
  18. Nick Cohen's piece nails this. Milne, Corbyn, Owen, Livingstone, and many others *ahem* - putting their tribal, anti-American , fantasy idealism above any objective analysis of what was going on economically or for freedom/rights etc http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/may/22/radical-leftwing-tourists-pimps-dictatorship-hugo-chavez-venezuela-sex-tourism "ho ho ho chi mihn" as their equivalents (Benn/Tariq Ali etc) in the 60s used to chant... whilst he starved to death (murdered) 30-50 million plus with his idiotic agricultural policies Grow up you twats.

  20. ....when the Oyster machine isn't working when you get on a bus
  21. You really think so Jeremy? Burning bridges with Cameron (who'll be gone) and Osbourne whose political capital is dropping, maybe but the Tory party? Many Tory MPs and the majority of their members like/love him. I suspect our choice in 2020 will be Johnson or Corbyn....brilliant eh? I can't wait....
  22. Chiltern's are very underrated and far less crowded than Cotswolds - but actually lots of the SE and near SW are quite pretty picture pretty. , South Downs, North Downs, Chilterns; etc or a bit further away New Forest, Cotswolds, etc

I think he's best with a small club, with no pulling power for players, reliant on kids, 2nd rate overseas players and Premiership rejects... *drumroll* (Come on someone I've set this up perfect)
  24. He got rid of the bendy buses, that's worth something IMO On the other hand, looking forward to the new mayor's idea of making our commute more comfortable, less crowded and better by freezing fares ......yup, Labour economic know how shining though - reduce LT investment and make it cheaper to travel, that'll fix overcrowding *scratches head* All a bunch of twats in my view...
