  1. Oh, MM You've made me go early on this! I fancy Hunter Mathan - form, decent draw, good hitter (34s) Goosen - too good to be 55s I've done both of these on Betfair. Tiger at 2.65....I think I'll take him on, although the crcicket reminded of the dangers of laying :( Will do some in play probably whilst I watch at the weekend
  2. Yup John Lennon was a biggy - I also got dumped that day. It was before texts and t'internet but I think there were still Jokes by the end of the day...er, about John Lennon's death not my brokenheart
  3. At some point in May and for almost all of June I too saw a big orange thing in the sky on an almost daily basis - it started around 5am and got higher and higher until noonish then it slowly moved downwards disappearing at about 9pmish. I also noticed how hot and generally pleasant it was suring this phenomenum. It now seems to have disappeared.
  4. ...some hiss too
  5. swap 'women' for 'cats' and change 'humans' to 'men' and it all makes sense
  6. I still read or occasionally hear journalists/commentators saying "they always say everyone remembers what they were doing when they heard Kennnedy was dead". ..it's where the expression comes from - the point being it is cited as being the first 'major' death that was spread by televsion - but as it was 1964, you'd have to have to be 55ish+ to remember this or maybe 1963?
  7. I was a 14 year old punk on holiday in Devon and being 14, we all thought it was a laugh "Elvis is dead, long live punk". Diana I was asleep in SE22 and Jacko I was on here when the story broke. I was actually alive for Kennedy cliche - unlike the majority of people on the planet - so maybe they should drop that one now eh?
  8. cricket and Irish osks - golf probably tomorrow
  9. "we'd"? Brendan's just done the introductions you have to do the dirty stuff yourself

  12. Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Back in my bachelor days in my old flat I once > bought a black suede sofa. It felt and looked > great but then I had a lady friend around one > evening and it was ruined forever. Schoolboy error Brendan - blood and sulphuric acid is no good at all for leather

  15. The Balti ones at the millenium aren't great
  16. I'd be more worried about him letting his son wear a Chelsea shirt
  17. Matthew - you'd be more than welcome too but maybe we shold have a football thread and a 'hooligan' thread for all this stuff
  18. I'm not saying Liverpool or Man U or Arsenal fans not welcome Keef - I'd have Steve Potts in mine (tu)
  19. Seriously, is snyone interested in having another Football thread for the Premierhip where we dicuss football, with maybe an occasional bit of banter, but escape from the incessant childish crap on this one? Anyone else? This one can stay obviously for the tedious and endless Manu/Liverpool tirades and that unbelievable that hes over 40 something schoolboy gooner bloke
  20. oh well, there goes my winning streak
  21. Fantastic - but still big underlying issues
  22. well it's about the only thing that you don't get worked up about then mr meaningful....
  23. I've also had a piece of Portsmouth at 6s for relegation. It looks messy there and I fancy the odds will fall so I can trade.
  24. or let sleeping dogs lie perhaps?
  25. Still I'll get my bet
