me, almosty certainly for a long time. I'm a city boy and Londoner. I had a year in Spain and didn't like it much - the country is ok for a weekend, then it bores me. I've a house that I like and that my seemingly ever expanding brood can fit in, in a pleasant part of town near enough and yet far enough to the centre - and, a year in Spain and a bit of travelling apart I've been in SE London for 24 years now so it's home.

I too get, oh you mean Peckham. Or - that North London thing that they think the river is about 15 miles wide and so anywhere in South London is miles away. Occasionally people think it's somewhere in the country (Kent/Surrey?) but I used to get that loads when I lived in Camberwell, "Oh in leafy Surrey" which a lot of people think is Camberley I guess
