  1. The FSA has not much bite Anyone with any ability in FS (but no morals, so that's most) has spent the last 10 years earning squillions rather than working for a toothless ineffective regulator getting paid peanuts (relatively) All the brains are with the bankers who run rings round the toothless, 2nd Rate, FSA..... ...er that's it....
  2. Whilst I agree with the sentiment I don't think the mural is (was) all that to be honest
  3. Martin Jol's Hamburg top of the Bundes., Ramos didn't show him much decency ....Tottenham fans have delusions of grandeur and deserve everything they get....stop being so bleedin' 'nice'
  4. Yeah, but that's your way, cats and skins etc....some of us like to appear as the devil and then chill (a bit)>:D
  5. Still good to see Tottenham finally fullfilling their potential and being in the league position a club of their stature deserves......
  6. Oh dear Ratty....I'd buy him 6 Sean :))
  7. You don't like chavs or the Bourgoisee(sp)...I think you may have a problem.... Sean...I hate to digress, but you are going into "You're not from round here" mode a bit....so what if it's his first post. It's a crap one but wether it's first or 1,000 is irrelevat surely?
  8. In the 70s/80s this was common as middle-class families fled most of inner non-posh London (er that's us and Clapham in those days)and many 'family' homes were converted into flats to rent out. What 'youngsters' don't realise is just how much people didn't want to live in London until the late 80s. There were thousands of empty squatted properties, nillion pound+ houses in areas like Hampstead were just siphoned off into cheap flats for renting to students..Council flats were available to students as they were 'hard to let'.....I wonder if we're heading back to that now the 'Casino' is going bust?
  9. What have they ever done for us?
  10. ...er...wrong forum...I thought you meant the West Ham defender recently sold to Sunderland...carry on
  11. To put hedging into context, it's like you've got a potential rendezvous with an absolute hotty at work but you tell the not so hotty certainty from your local that you'll probably be in later..... about 10ish.... ...this may explain the regular late attendees at EDF drinks..........
  12. Noel Coward in his prime Journalist: "Mr Coward is it true that you have a half bottle of champagne with your breakfast every day?" Noel Coward "Doesn't everybody dear boy?"
  13. housing market - education - healthcare ....all f*cked.... was it only 11 years ago that "Things can only get better"?
  14. Didn't you used to just throw the car keys into the middle of the room?
  15. I think smacking's child abuse, five hours in the dark in the cupboard under the stairs works IMO...sod 5 mins on the 'naughty step'
  16. I predict a fall in house prices of upto 40% off the peak... Several of the retailers/bars/restaurants on LL and surrounding roads that add to the character going bust Friends, neighbours and posters on here losing their jobs Only a very slow recovery Reduce your debts, batten the hatches, and try and ride it out...... Cheery fella ain't I
  17. Just 'cos you beat Leicster you're all getting uppity
  18. Declan= newbiefootball fun. hatred is the best part of supporting your team...
  19. On the Prole side of cobbles they are good for prising up and throwing at the agents of the capitalist state (sans coulettes naturellement)
  20. 'bleedin hell the bleedin 'wall are lurking near the top oftheir lowly league...
  21. ....yeah, but you were paying 5.09% because of same issue..I know it's tough but the deals they were all giving out were ridiculous
  22. On a related note...it is interseting that those that think the role of the state is to tell us plebs what to do, don't apply this to their own. If we put a list of all the Labour MPs past ane present who either directly sent their kids through Private Education or bent the system to not put their kids to their local state school we'd be hear until next year.... just recently, the awful (sorry James) Dianne Abbot - kids privately educated Tony Blair - Kids wangled into some high performing state school miles (11 I think) from his local 'comp' and....our potential PM, Milliband, bought up in Hampstead with his house full of lefties Benn, his grandad (famous marxist historian) etc and.....wait for this......gets into Oxford with shite A'levels on a scheme aimed at poor inner city kids.. They make me puke with their hypocracy
