  2. Thanks everyone, really appreciate your thoughts.
  3. It seems to be mixed messages here. If you live extremely close to one school but would like to take your chances on another one, will you have missed your chances at your closest school because you didnt put that as your first choice? Any thoughts welcome, I have heard anecdotes both ways.
  4. Thought about this last night and agree about the losec. They were by far the most effective for us. We used to mix it with a small amount of water and mix with fruit puree as we found it worked best when not too dialuted. Not for a minute pretending to have all the answers but I really feel for you. It is so damn hard. We have also stayed with the one baby as the first year really broke me. Please let us know if we can help in anyway. Alot of us have been where you are - you are not on your own and it will get better.
  5. Great post Ellie! We also struggle massivly with acidic food (citrus, tomatoes, apples and any fruit juices as well as most ready made sauces) and like you it took me ages to figure out as focused entirely on cmp. ps - we have identical kids, so similar in so many ways.
  6. Here is an old thread with alot of information on it; http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,862413,page=1
  7. Wooly, how much omeprazole is the lo one? Is there other issues such as CMPI?
  8. I am sorry to hear your little one is suffering. If you or anyone else need infant gaviscone I have alot of it at home (all in date, unopened). Wishing you the best of luck, you are not alone. We used Babu first privately and then on the Nhs. My son is 3 1/2 now and we still see Babu about twice a year.
  9. What a great shame, I am really sorry OP.
  10. I should prob add in the interest of transparency that as well as having used her services professionally, she is also a friend of mine (and a former ed resident)
  11. Yes, caroline doran of Royds is excellent. She is expensive, although I suspect most are. I can wholeheartedly recommend her. 020 7842 1495
  12. Can I jump in? I am looking for a new scooter for my son who is 31/2. He is very tall 107 and heavy too. Could this be a goer for him possibly! Sorry to hijack came on here tp start a thread about finding him a new scooter.
  13. Not a medical expert but it could very well be a lactose/cows milk protein issue. Any other symptoms? Any vomiting? Stuffy nose? Grizzly when sleeping on his back? Gulping when feeding?
  14. Those bossy sisters are getting on my nerves...
  15. So...2 years on and after the 110000033th time reading "cinders" to my 3 yr old son I cant help but cringe when reading my wisdom of 2 years ago...just as I felt with my crying reflux baby in the newborn days when I had spent years tutting and glaring at parents and their noisy (wtf?) babies... My intentions were there, I had it all worked out but after flying solo all week, intense days at work, and ds screaming " I WANT MOOOOORE CINDEEEEEELAAAAA" i am just giving in Oh how times change...
  16. My son (who sounds of similar personality) loves the gymnastics in camberwell mentioned above. The teachers are brilliant too at encourage him and his his attention and listening rather than being punitive. Am a former (as in ALONG time ago) gymnast and think it is lovely to see my son enjoying the same sport. We tried football at hillyfields which claims to start at 3, but he was not ready for that at all.
  17. Just saw that you work in hr. I am in banking/wealth management) pm me if you are interested in that industry (we have an opening in hr at the moment).
  18. Agree, it is madness. What kind of work do you do? (Pm if you prefer).
  19. Hoping you have had some luck OP! I think it is VERY common to work as if you are fulltime and be paid for 4 days (or 3 1/2 in my case. All my mum friends who have managed to negotiate a 4 day week seem to have this situation.
  20. I have found james barber extremley helpful when I have approached him for help with leasehold queries as well as primary school questions.
  21. I know, but their coffee was served hot and they had amazing banana pancakes too. Another thread, but that place was a gem.
  22. Hello, We had to have earlier naps so maybe 11.-11.30 to 12.30-13.00 worked best. I still naps now at 3 1/2 on his nursery days.
  23. "Seriously now, the best croissants are definitely from Boulangerie Jade but the best almond croissants are from Blackbird Bakery.." Agree, theirs are great but I just cant stand their coffee, it is always cold. And I also miss homemade (am abit sad like that).
  24. Thanks everyone, turns out it wasnt chicken pox, so ds had his jab this morning. A really good experience so perhaps the troubles from a couple of years back are sorted? We had a lovely doctor, all on time, a sticker:) and it was ?68.00 which was a good price too. A very good experience all around.
