  1. My original post wasn't to really talk about "losing" things, nor was it a chicken-licken "everything could go wrong and probably will so lets worry worry" post a la Jeremy's suggestion It was more that people haven't thought through any of the implications of this migration from physical to virtual - and then, bang on cue , people on facebook start throwing up their arms in disgust about something they think is news, even tho they have all installed a million facebook applets where they had to tick a box saying they agree to let each applet access and share their private info On the one hand I think people deserve what they get, but on the other I think this is a tiny foretaste of something much bigger to come
  2. lol - I know how you feel Muley
  3. You won't hear much from him until.... Ooh I'm guessing Monday or tuesday I can confirm it's nothing personal with the forum
  4. Yeah Mick. It's just Ed. Only Ed. Nowhere else in London or the rest of the country. Your road. That you paid for. Yours
  5. I might have misled PGC - sorry Torchwood = Doctor Who
  6. I still stand up for Cantona on that one....
  7. @ Ted http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_k961WjbdlbA/SPdLdRxq-dI/AAAAAAAACOk/ygI14alVBks/s400/standing-ovation-0907-lg.jpg
  8. No Dom It's because generally speaking, when they post they don't display wild, misanthropic tendancies. Steph's original post was out-of-character and she has responded like... well, a grown-up Clarify my question? "You disappeared for ages and have come back all > guns blazing - why? " surely a man of your intellect can decipher such a sphinx-like riddle?
  9. It'll be a cloud over me until it's done!
  10. dundas type pizza into the search bar at the top of the screen disco
  11. Dom You are almost lenk-like in your aggression ruining some very good points (sometimes) You disappeared for ages and have come back all guns blazing - why? You clearly don't like any of the regular posters on here and your tone means you will never convince anyone of the merit of your argument so.. again.. why?
  12. I was joking As well you know (These short posts are great for reaching that 10,000 mark)
  13. yes
  14. Hmmm "no more affairs"... unless Sarah Beeney INSISTS
  15. they come into their own for Valentines Day presents tho
  16. when I first arrived in this country - well sort of this country, Swindon - I survived for about 2 years on Bernard Matthews Turkey drumsticks and mash. Sometimes a pea was involved I didn't know it was rot at the time. (irish naif) But it didn't make me feel good
  17. A shocking simplification to say That Programme is about drugs!! Anyway, by all accounts the recent climax of t'Wood has been aces which I'm happy to accept. But is is something I can just watch or do I have to go back to the beginning?
  18. Now that Trent is retiring NiN I hope he explores that "Hurt" side of things more than genero-industro-adolescent noise (which I like btw - I just which I was 15 again!!) Another vocalist who works for me is Stuart Staples As for women v men - as a general rule women singers have never had as much effect on me as blokes. Psychologists (and BBW) can read whatever they want into that...
  19. aaaaaand exhale Good post Steph!
  20. I'll take a cool sci-fi challenge with anyone - but any time I dipped into Barryman and his silly anagram (oooh missus) I've just been a bit bored. Same with the Doctor tbh. It's a strand that has never worked for me
  21. yep - it's doing a better job than all those Smith's albums, that's for sure
  22. Gail Ann Dorsey ripping the tits off Under Pressure
  23. Lott is a silly sausage generally. I was never in love with him in his yoof, writing for music mags and that - but then he did one of those "what was I thinking??? I'm not socially-minded at all !! " volte-faces and has been even more tittish But the main reason the article was so bad was that he covered all his bases - anyone could have written that and substitued their own mix of classics, newish films and personal favourites and elicited the exact same response - which is pretty much my definition of "why bother" writing an article in the first place *
  24. oooh d'ya think? ;-) Compared to some of BBW's posts, particularly in his early career, it was almost (ALMOST) benign. He has generally been better behaved since he attended a couple of drinks but he is prone to crossing a line from time to time Anyway - I wouldn't have noticed his post were it not for it being reported so 2 things to bear in mind: 1) If a post bothers you, report it 2) Torchwood - not as popular as all that
