  1. Good reply louisiana!
  2. Ah but what is Mister Louisiana up to while you are so occupied, eh? eh?? ;-) And does this mean that the forumite called fiskeroo is somehow link to the practice of fisking? I'm confused now. But I will say having had a kitchen ripped out myself, best of luck louisiana!
  3. Deadwood Curb Your Enthusiasm Oz
  4. I'm saying it's none of our business because it's prurient. If the films were all Ocean's 13 and Finding Nemo etc this wouldn't even be in the news. The only reason it's in the news is the tee-hee factor. It's cringey A claim was mistakenly submitted, the claims dept caught it and rejected it. It was all dealt with privately as it should be. The fact that someone then leaked so we the public could go "ooh which one???" is a bit embarassing. Let's say you find out which titles - then what?
  5. And possibly intimidating MM! - not sure I'd fancy my chance on the food front. But it's all about "the evening" isn't it
  6. well we haven't have we? And it really isn't any of our business But you could always look up the schedules of the various channels on Virgin On-Demand for possibilities.
  7. So tonight on BBC2 you have more Stewart Lee followed by episode 1, series 1 of the Wire If you haven't seen them I recommend them wholeheartedly You will probably be non-plussed by episode one of the wire, but give it until Thursday or Friday and things will start to click into place Worth the license fee alone I reckon
  8. I was perched on the sofa some years ago, just prior to the race when 'Arry Redknapp popped up to give some of his tips for the race on telly. Lady Mac was so convinced she opened up a betting account there and then! And lost Of course Mine's a 14 year old Laphroig please moos. No ice either
  9. It was great to see the film again Several of the participants dispute some of the facts details here But there is no mistaking the look on the wife and kids' faces! Good to see South Park and My Name is Earl both riffing on it as well
  10. go on ooh err!! could be could be ;-)
  11. You looking for green ones Asset, or one "on the turn"?
  12. Congrats to Mr & Mrs Buggie - a splendid occasion Congrats also to Bare Groove who put on a great show and got everyone moving
  13. Good reminder(s) MrBen gunner4ever1 - how awful for you. Peoples' words often amount to little more than clich?s in times like this, but often for a reason. Sorry for your loss
  14. I don't think it's the insult to Roy that's the problem MM - lots of people with speech impediments are still stigmatised and don't have the benefit of decades in politics to help them feel less insecure. By taking the mick out of the impediment, it's just reinforcing the bullies "tediously politically correct" is possibly going to be thrown my way. But there it is..
  15. PS to above - I'm not defending the industry in it's current state btw. Just wanted to make that clear. The clothing industry comparison is possibly glib as well but the more I find out about the reality for many participants at the coalface in both, the more I want to have them talked about
  16. Listening to BBC London this morning where it was embarrasing to hear the presenters giggle like a pair of adolescent school-kids. For the whole show. Then Paul Ross got on his moral high-horse and said he himself had NEVER watched one because he considered them "juvenile". Then went back to giggling like a child To be sure a large part of the industry is explotative and populated with spivs and dangerous men. But then so is the clothing industry. And to listen to so many people say they "never watch" it (in the same way that when google street view came out last week everyone was outraged on behalf of the man coming out of the sex shop) - when it is clearly pretty much a huge percentage of the population. You don't drive several industries (and the fact that you enjoy a video/DVD player and using the internet is largely down to the success of porn driving them) on the back of a few sad men in raincoats At least MPs expenses get published online from July - so from that angle we look to be covered
  17. Depending on workload this morning I will aim to get along to this at lunchtime - sounds grand
  18. Had he not already mentioned it on this particular thread I would be tempted to start a thread on the man himself and what a legend etc. All I'm saying is, when Piers has hinted he has cooked and on his own, get him round... He brought aforementioned bacon cooked in goose fat around, along with a bottle of sherry and what a splendid way to spend Sunday evening. He is a wimp when not on home turf tho' and complained about "work in the morning" - pffft. You mention one bottle of scotch....
  19. The link Ah yes, porn with all the porn taken out - as Bill Hicks said, I'm not sure plot and dialogue are enough to carry these things on their own Still - the Mail once again getting it's prurient kicks describing what the channels advertise (and not complaining about what they don't deliver ) Liking the Tacqui thing tho BBW
  20. Has to be pizza doesn't it - I might even splurge on a bottle of wine costing more than ?3.99
  21. I have no doubt whatsoever that some people absolutely do need a car. But if only those people were on the roads there would be a lot more parking a lot less congestion and zero pounds parking charges
  22. Maybe the price increase will encourage just a few people to give up a car. Or the second or third car? Job done Or maybe as with everything else prices go up. See also public transport price increases.

    G20

Sounds like small beer compared to what people are protesting about phil
  24. I wonder how those Italians get by on empty stomachs. Maybe we should send them some Greggs sausage rolls
  25. Hitched pretty much every week for about 2 years back in the 80s. Only a 60 mile round trip in Ireland and mostly dull - but a few good days I got picked up by this student (therefore older than me at the time) and started having a chat - decided to stop for a beer when we got to Cork.. that turned into a 12 hour session and I'm still not sure how I made it back to the coast.
