  1. I wandered past there on Saturday Applespider and wondered if it was any good. I also wandered past Elachi which brought back happy memories I'm going to try both soon - anyone for a Curry Club visit?
  2. Well it would It's Dark, innit? And it's like for EVER!
  3. All this talk of nightbuses reminds me of Joe Rowntree's brilliant monologue at the last EDT comedy night..
  4. People who's idea of an umbrella requires more square footage than my entire kitchen
  5. Izodia Nah, Jeremy called me straight away Again
  6. spoilsport! ;-) If we go fireworking it's usually to Brockwell Park. I've sort of gotten over the whole thing (fireworks generally - Brockwell Park puts on a fine show) but Lady Mac still loves it. I think we compromised last time by watching from the beer garden of the Florence
  7. wonder how many posts before someone mentions....
  8. Going back in time - the flickering lights in some of the Doom rooms had me very nervous. yes they look silly now but... Parts of BioShock creeped me out as well Ravenhome is a great level but almost scarier for me were the horizons on the water levels - weird echoey tannoys and the suggestion of a brutal horrible horrible world...
  9. oh no it's from a year or two back at least...
  10. Listen to the property mogul! I thought it was a bloke in there? Anyway.. have a look at the list of books for sale when you speak to him/her
  11. if that's not Edge I'll eat my hat It was a good discussion though.
  12. Brooker seems to have changed of late (say last 6 months or so) - He seems less happy to have a caustic go at someone for teh sake of a witty put-down (getting ahead of the game pre Brand maybe? ;-) ) I reckon it has a lot to do with him befriending Aisling from one of the Big Brothers and seeing life from the other side. It doesn't seem to have cheered him up - quite the opposite in fact - but he's definitely more cautious So, next series of Screenwipe may not be what we expect
  13. Bon3yard was thinking about it but I don't know if he's gone ahead with the purchase. I'm tempted as well but frankly something's got to give (timewise)
  14. The bookshop in the main market town square sells a number of.. well, books One of them (the last one IIR - but the title is obvious) needs to be bought and read then when you meet the missus, choose the new option from the flirting menu then go to bed - you will be given some... new options before sleep
  15. From what I can gather there are loads of side-quests which remain open long after the main quest Plus the possibility of downloading new quests as well Even if Gable 2 is short,Ffallout 3 tomorrow and that is going to be a huuuuge effort
  16. This is one of the trailers for In Bruges which is so totally not safe for work - a compilation of some of the swearing scenes. But is very very funny IMO Unless you don't like swearing obviously. A great film by the way if you haven't seen it
  17. I do get my yardage wrong sometime! definitely 15-20 mins to Fleet St - Holborn is basicall another 5 -10 mins from there (depends what end I guess)
  18. Fable 2 is really doing it for me at the mo. I never liked the first one and teh second does have more than it's share of issues but the pluses soooooooooooo outweigh them that I might be a little bit in love
  19. Unsubtle attempts by Mike P to goad that Sean Mac into defending the buses too I see ;-) I don't work too far from Holborn Mike and I travel to E&C (choose your own steed!) and walk teh rest - the walky bit is about 25 mins so no worse I would say than LB
  20. Offensive keef? How so. . .
  21. Is the *Bob* who regularly (and rightly) bemoans the blandcom that is My Family the same *Bob* who often berates people in the music thread for being "too cool" to like more mainstream fare I wonder............. ;-)
  22. In a word lard, ubiquity I certainly encounter dog shite many many more times a day than either of the others. Plus dog shite is especially rancid I don't obsess about it (don't think I've even posted on the subject before) but I do think it's a bit off when people say "get over it". It's not just about the shite itself it's about the mentality that goes with some dog-owners
  23. I think it's disgusting that someone would ring an old man like me up and left a message like that on my voicemail ;-)
  24. How do "we" pay for it ? Personally i dont feel short changed as a licence payer. Unless you count talent out of a job while moyles remains in a job despite several anti gay comments ?
