  1. Do most people on here hate them keef? I love summer nights, hanging out the back window looking up at them Mad world. Are you mixing up your wells and orwells?
  2. I'm closer to Strawbs' method than this "fella" - but it's no suitcase - just a holdall which weighs 7500 kilos judging by my back pain
  3. Is it this weekend? ****! I love going to this - it's the owls! But not this year - have fun
  4. methinks the people who spend most time on these keyboards are also the ones "out and about" in this fine city more n' most :)-D
  5. looking like 8:30 at the restaurant for me... see youse later
  6. abye da lad as we sometimes say in Ireland - it means well done
  7. plus Somerset House is a great venue on a summer's evening isn't it?
  8. that was a good one - but not QUITE as good as a similar one from *bob* re: t'ban "the sort of person who sits next to you on the plane before asking if you had switched the iron off"
  9. anyone of us could end up in that situation - all we need is the right bar, the right friends and the right girl....
  10. shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete shift-P - Delete "" - Delete "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
  11. AcedOut - I'm with you - and it has been discussed many a time on here. Some people are anti, some pro-, some think a mix works best..... (I belive where a mix exists, it doesn't exist for long, just because all of the rates go waaay up - it's like saying Chelsea and Luton can exist in the same division)
  12. Thats him strawbs. * bob * said it all btw But the question did make of wonder what "london purposes" might be
  13. bit personal jke isn't it? She wouldn't know me from Adem but I've always had good service in G&F and am looking forward to what they have in store for the Mag
  14. If I didn't know better Natasha I would say you were being deliberately provocative ;-) I meant to add to my earlier Wagamamma post that the rest ofthe evening and the company were both marvellous btw!
  15. Oh my my - I've confused Ted Max and will dex in my brain - sorry Ted Max! * goes for a lie down *
  16. James is correct tho' Ted Max - you can't remove a whole activity/passtime/whatever just because some (possibly plenty) of participants are prats about it What I don't get about this country is how quick it is to make laws, but rarely bothers to enforce them. Then again, after the kerfuffle on here about the ?60 fine for someone dropping litter, people seem "cool" with that
  17. Agree totally with AcedOut on Ping Pong. Sorry mitchK, but whatever PP is,a good Chinese it ain't And having retured to Wagammamas this week after vowing never to go again... I was right the first time. How they can charge 8-9 quid for 4 slivers of chicken and a pile of tomato based flvourless slop I have no idea. To compare - there is a wee Noodle bar just of Blackfriars called Chi - the salt and pepper chicken/pork dish alone makes it worth a trip (caveat: being in the City it's not open at weekends however)

    Behold!

All I'm saying IS - in the 80 minutes I was punting there was nary a drop of water getting into that boat. I'm not BLAMING anyone else who MIGHT have taken over on punting duties you understand but in the words of Shaggy - It. Wasn't. Me

    Behold!

I don't know if people are being kind by holding off on making a comment... I expected more. Keef's picture is excellent!
  20. PGC - oops sorry When I initially typed that out I meant it to be light-hearted - then I got carried away! (but they do get my goat.... ;-) )
  21. It might be metric Asset but it doesn't really scan... As for the whole debate, I'm more metric than imperial - but then I was brought up in a different country I think standardisation of measurement is not only a good thing, but eminently desirable. However, as things stand in this country at the moment, I think the balance is right - metric is legally required to be displayed but if people want to use imperial as well they can . "Metric Martyrs" and the like can f*** right off however - it's just so cringe-making, bone-headed and small-minded. Tilting at windmills and deliberately being petty for the sake of it. Pay them in groats for their bananas and tell them to like it or lump it
  22. Amazing how countries with metric even survive isn't it? What with them not having any nursery rhymes or suitable drinking vessels
  23. not really - the technical term is "a faff" ;-)
