  1. Also, if you leave just a bit before 7:30, not only is the journey less crowded and the traffic better but you get to town MUCH earlier - leaving 10 minutes earlier gives me an extra 30-45 mins in town often enough. This might help you leave work earlier or it gives you time to sit and have a coffee. Either way I recommend travelling earlier for a much less stressful day
  2. Lynsa I've done that journey and getting that bus on LL won't be the problem - as Clare says it's the traffic north of the river. I would recommend getting off the bus on North side of Waterloo Bridge and walking through Covent Garden - this will make journey times much more predictable If I had to be there for 8:45 I would leave the house at 7:30 for the first few mornings to allow extra time and then you can shave off as much as you need after that
  3. 8 miles? more like 5 tops I'd say
  4. I would reckon the clue was in the phrase "piss take" combined with "Drawing Room" - given that the DR's raison d-etre is to get away from Lounge-like piss-taking My post on there was removed as well
  5. Strangely enough I'm coming around to the idea of capital punishment for people who keep coming back to the forum despite repeated bans No manners some people
  6. I always thought of it as a local forum The more people cling to anonymity the less I like it
  7. not that I'm aware of (and it's something I've been quite keen to do on a few occassions) Software limitation I think but we'll see what future upgrades bring
  8. Admin asks would everyone fucking around with dual logins please just stop that especially includes people previously banned Admin also asks that the threads in this section stop being extensions of The Lounge Admin thanks everyone
  9. Marmora Man (of this parish) tried something similar a few years back have a read of that thread - I doubt there is much new to be said
  10. well, it IS nicer than Cork to be fair
  11. Oooh I saw that this morning too. I read something underneath about Internet safety day but couldn't see the connection. Love it tho
  12. And I didn't mean to sound so down on the place earlier - especially after Weegee has made the effort to organise! I'm sure everyone going will have a top night. and Graham is indeed a helpful chap. I'm just getting old and crotchety
  13. on a Friday night it will be unbearable - it's very very loud and busy. To my ears anyway. I love the place during the week and during the day but a Friday night?
  14. Don't some of the people in camberwell ward live next to st johns. Which is the parish church of east dulwich? Tis all very confusing. I'm glad i care not for boundaries (national or otherwise)
  15. I think they teach spelllling rully bad. Lee
  16. I think people have been discussing this already here I might even make one soon...
  17. a good average attendance is about 10 ish people - sometimes more, sometimes less. It's a far far less manic night that many EDF drink evenings Of course open to everyone and the great curry leader Michael will usually suggest a time and pre-meal drinks venue beforehand - think 7-7:30 for drinks and shortly after for food I had no expectation of making this one but due to the.... less-than-tardy arrival of her nibs I may well make this one (solo) so maybe see you there
  18. Everyone does. Its the law. A bunch of canadians could take it over, sell nothing but tofu and i would still call it tts
  19. I have bought quinoa in the turkish shop (official name!) and smbs l
  20. The maths aren't pleasant quids but hopeless is way too fatalistic given the groupings down there. Its something ive noticed amongst west ham fans, a fatalism. Realism is good but if newcastle fans were realistic they would have got nowt from yesterday. All my west ham friends give off such a negative vibe (not just this season) it must transfer to the team
  21. Distasteful James - share prices in helpful libdem councillors fell sharply tonight
  22. I thought that's what you meant, I just didn't understand the meek acceptance of refs righting a wrong with several more wrongs. But as quids says, wrongs happen And as someone else said, karma will out But yeah, wolves helped massively!
