  1. Admin unlikely to make an official ruling for a while so, keep "the thin end of the wedge" in mind if everyone started bumping threads would that be a problem - yes, so I'd advise against it As for signatures, Admins last comment when they were an issue was: "I go away for a few days and this is still going, I did not expect that! a signature is just a way for someone to sign of their posts without having to re-type it every time, like Simon who signs his off "Simon". Ruffers summed it up nicely, I was just doing a bit of housekeeping and some took offence (mistakenly so it seems in one case). No offence was meant on my part and it would be great if this "issue" could not be dragged out any longer." if you have a small, discreet, non-business related sig, you should be fine but I know he was close to switching off all sigs last time so please don't anyone drag the whole debate up again
  2. Although to be fair, that was more "I'm moving to Surrey and I REALLY REALLY DONT WANT TO!"
  3. so, with his "dark forces" bit, can we say he too will be gone soon?
  4. link here apparently to listen again I can't check it, being at work
  5. Anyone listen to the Richard Keys interview on TalkSport earlier today? I hear he brought a shovel with him and kept digging
  6. assuming no othergame clashes then the usual bunch will probably be showing it (KO time might catch some of the staff unawares but they will switch it on) So, EDT, CPT, Hoopers, Actress, Boho Bar, Vale, Castle
  7. * schedules font-size-limitation-module for next forum upgrade *
  8. pearson - I didn't just say that for no reason - silverfox posted earlier "Jump in your car - far cheaper"
  9. I'm pretty sure there will be no more upgrades for the next few weeks at least
  10. benjaminty I'm almost exactly same distance - I work at Blackfriars and I combine bus and walking for a guaranteed (near as dammit) 40 minute journey Roadworks in peckham and denmark hill are playing a bit with this lately but they will go away Leaving before a certain time also makes a huge difference I bus it from goose green to E&C and walk the rest of the way so it's about 20 mins on each leg. If weather is bad or I'm carrying heavy stuff I'll get a bus at E&C to blackfriars which takes 10-15 mins I have walked the whole way many a time and it takes about 60 mins from East Dulwich Grove (snow will obviously make things slower) Funny how drivers say "take a car it's cheaper" when you talk about public transport but complain about "a war on motorists " the rest of the time
  11. Pk ? It might not always sound like it but I agree that there is a place for both. It?s just I think the balance is tipping the supermarkets way so I?m trying to counter that I think the current balance in the area is about right and people can adapt the LadyMuck model of pick and choosing as budget sees fit.
  12. is that an entirely bad concept? If you had the choice of no local shops or an uberstore on a retail park would it make for a happier local environment You will always be able to find many items cheaper in a large supermarket - they run deals all the time and have much much greater buying power (which also includes squeezing suppliers until the pips squeak) But then again many items are much much more expensive than local shops - buy that little packet of parsley for best part of a pound or get a much much bigger and fragrant bunch from a local shop for less? And if it's just one item you are in and out in seconds from a local shop - if you go to sainsbury's (does that involve a drive) chances are you end up spending more on other items as well But you would think if a local shop is charging x2 for items they would be rich, no? And yet I don't see it
  13. Although, when you think about it, andy gray IS an anagram of randy gay
  14. Pcg A joke is one thing but you reckon they were joking? Seriously? I think you give them too much credit. And given that andy gray is suing news international id expect to hear more dirt yet
  15. Murdoch may not currently own sky but he pretty much calls the shots anyway
  16. Missus machabhann?? Gasp! Anyway I might be a grumpy git these days but back in the day when all this was fields some lunatics thought I was too nice. I know, i know...
  17. seems odd that one goes and one stays. But then again unspecified "previous evidence" is mentioned so who knows But I'd rather Keyes went before Gray too
  18. They wouldn't turn out for a burglary but if they have found some den which was the epicentre of the whole business then they might have coordinated something like this
  19. sent you a PM Anna
  20. I can say for a fact that the Liverpool game will be show in my brother's pub near Borough (and on the same TV that keef once played guitar hero on....)
  21. It's not listed on any satellite, cable or terrestrial channels Keef, but sometimes the Vale are able to show games shown elsewhere
  22. One of the people suing News International because of phone tapping = Andy Gray people recording Andy Gray's comments and leaks them to the press = News International I am the weaver.. Not that that excuses him or anything, but a coincidence?
