  1. keef now I know how you feel when you enjoy seeing me get so worked up in other discussions!
  2. Ref had a good game until the penalty decision I thought - let a few things go after that almost as a guilt thing. But Atila - it is only a game.. relax! You'll give yourself a heart attack
  3. i fink the women have a much much wider and more qualitative choice then the men had..
  4. some of the menfolk have other halves who will either roll their eyes at the predictability of the date or wonder why they haven't been on a date like one outlined.... so there may be some reluctance I dare say a pint or two on Friday evening will loosen tongues tho

  10. ooh but this thread is for music not discussion so - in light of the fact that a new album is imminent, a classic from the Sticks swelling strings alert!
  11. hopefully they will have Upstairs at the Garage re-opened too - it's where I first saw Hamell on Trial downstairs I've seen everyone from Fatima Mansions to The The (and yes I'm aware that is a similar gag to liking both kinds of music - country AND western)
  12. right now, on BBC London they are playing The Bitterest Pill by t'Jam - was never their biggest fan (nor of Weller solo) but that song works for me,,
  13. is the Garage re-opened? Cool... nice and small with plenty of good sightlines - prepare to get hot tho'
  14. Another vote for Ros here - (and I'll beg to differ with keef on the preferring Daphne thing) But as a frame of reference, the woman (fictional) currently working for me is the woman who owns the department store, pitching for business in Mad Men (aka Maggie Siff) Mad Men? What's that?
  15. is this lounge-bound?
  16. slash nightmare
  17. nah - it's Tessa who lives in North London Harriet does live somewhere round here I genuinely don't like her, but think this is all stuff and nothing - Mike Paeleologous has hit the head with the questionable donations. Next time the Pope drives around behind 3 foot of plexiglass in some city, have a word about faith and naivet? then - but this just seems a hasty little mistake
  18. If reading for an extra few minutes can indeed be classed as "wasting"
  19. sold! to the Irishman on Friern Rd
  20. It's a good space, in a good location The quality of the food has been debated on here several times (quick summary from my perspective - overly salty and not especially good food but I usually have a great night when I'm there) It is clearly a bit knackered looking and in need of something - "a chain from Sydenham"? - would that be the people behind the Dolphin and Dartmouth arms in Forest Hill?
  21. work have just given me some very stern lokos after I opened that page.....
  22. good spot loz - The Walworth Rd was suffering badly from traffic this morning when I read that and had a good chuckle As ever with these things tho', I did worry it might be true as well
