  1. welcome back Louisa - i wondered why you missed the last few forum drinks It has been pretty hectic most Saturday nights for quite a while but I know the feeling of being somewhere quiet for a long spell and coming back to a period of re-adjustment. You'll be fine..
  2. seanmlow - because the subject of estate agents and cars has been talked to death on here before here's one and you were part of it back then too mr low! so why start a new thread?
  3. I WANT to believe this thread is ironic.... I do...
  4. it's not QUITE 100% right DC - and I'm sure of of my compatriots on here might do a better phonetic - but it's close enough now.... MacGabhann - how DO you pronounce that ;-)
  5. TeeShock
  6. that reminds me of the first time I heard "omnipotent" spoken aloud - oh how I blushed, with me and my omni (long pause) poh-tent
  7. Happy Birthday Steph (and good shout TT)
  8. oi! stick to the original and let's be having none of Vanilla Ice (who even denies he lifted the bassline from the song - he maintains it's actually different!)
  9. * buys loz a drink * seriously tho, I'm glad no-one was hurt but that was a bit of a presumption there Jamma. And Annaj recollection re that incident is the same as mine But I'm not against cars on LL - just wish there were fewer. And those that drive spent less time complaining (kudos to CitizenEd for his post on a related subject) Goose Green as a junction I have found to be mostly pretty good - most people seem to have good awareness there - it's the one by the Bishop that is a real monster. Something needs to be done there
  10. as someone wrote at the weekend "Imagine living in the same house as Dawn French and still being the unfunny one"
  11. haven't been to any but I was surprised to see they had an airline as I flew back from the US Hooters Airline
  12. any kind of tardiness is often met with my brother's exclamation: "look it - 12 o clock and not a child in the house washed!"
  13. KK - how was Chav's post not positive??? Anyway I tend to agree along the lines of Chav's statement - but I wonder if there does come a point when you think if a group which doesn't believe in freedom of expression get's enough power where has our tolerance got us?
  14. wee quinnie - I share both of those traits.
  15. if EVER a question was guaranteed a response from *Bob* that was it....
  16. gotta feel for those kids man - and Carver's story arc was interesting as well I thought Aiden Gillen from Queer as Folk was excellent as Carcetti as well - I haven't seen series 5 yet but you just know all that optimism can't last
  17. bus? at 8:55?? and with that much punctuation???? Or a simple typo now corrected * ahem *
  18. Can't see 72 ever being a possibility unless we decide to have an early-week session (oh but the sounds!) Quite a few people live over the Rye side of Dulwich anyway so I would say that the Rye Hotel or Nun's Head or even the new place (Village?) over that way would be eminently reachable/do-able/suitable. If it means less people (and I'm not convinced it does) then one upside is being able to talk to more people - when there are upwards of 35 people it's impossible to talk to a fraction of the people one would like to... But that's for the NEXT time - the Mag has been chosen so let's not restart that debate... don't want the organising commitee to have a fit ;-)
  19. Keef - this one's for you No More Heroes I haven't watched THIS one yet because work blocks it but his reviews are always funny and almost certainly very insulting to the games you and I love... Thanks to MockneyPiers for introducing me to these reviews as well
  20. when Irish players came to England and I suddenly had to get used to, for example Kevin Moran (pronounced Morean - emphasis on 1st syllable) became Kevin Moh-RAN according to English commentators... such as John Moh-Tzan still annoys me
  21. Omrith is another ED curry house - next to FHT and I love the food there (tis v small and basic tho)
  22. I agree with Keef pretty much - apart from calling the penalty the same as last week, it was much softer than that. I'm not disputing the penalty.. I just wouldn't describe it as similar to Kuyt's embrace Walcott's run deserved better reward but there it is - by all accounts a cracking game but as a non-neutral I couldn't enjoy it that much and the end result... gutted
  23. not uncommon that noise these days but surely the worst example of the genre!
  24. you can download it from here PGC http://www.everyvideogame.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-6157.htm
  25. on the grounds that I can say "I love it when I'm wrong" tomorrow, let me state that: Arsenal will not make it through tonight But seriously after three 1-1 draws already this season can we just fast-forward to a penalty shoot out? It's going to be a nerve-shredding night regardless of the outcome
