  1. The predominant feeling I have experienced amongst friends and family of those that commit suicide isn't grief or loss - it has been anger both times. And in one case over 10 years later they are still angry at the guy
  2. I will NEVER forget that night. Unbelievable
  3. or that Fopp has closed
  4. Oi - Huguenot.. you update your blog and we MIGHT post a picture ;-)
  5. well seeing as it is the ONLY clothes retailers on the lane can we, out of fairness, not expect them to supply every sartorial need? You don't have to don every item in there but one or two "bland" items in an otherwise experimental outfit can be a good thing Plus the bag I bought from there a year ago remains the best one I have bought from anywhere - edgy or no
  6. Josie was in Black Cherry last week (maybe week before actually) with some mates - top person and top comedian As for Brendon, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread: So I Suppose This is Offensive Now
  7. They appear to have buggered off Jah - ssshhhhh!! You'll only attract their attention again PS - I fixed your post for you
  8. which to be fair clarec could be an accusation levelled at your last post - but to the point at hand I tend to agree with you. It does tend to be the rucksacked of this world who are most oblivious to others around them in my experience (darned useful tho they are)
  9. I've gone with road and diestrict/town so - 119 Rosebery Avenue Manor Park worked (haven't tried postcode)
  10. Be fair Keef, the trophies are not of questionable worth, they are of zero worth. However, the performances that led to the trophies, particularly against an overly-aggressive Ajaz side, demonstrate that the Arsenal will be this season's dark horse. There is more steel about us this year and I am quietly optimistic. I'm not going to see will win anything... but I expect us to be in contention for most of the season, which is something we haven't done for a while To my mind Chelsea will be the big losers this year - the core of the team has been sated with new deals and they just won't be ass effective as they have been not to mention the injury list they already have. Man U I expect to do well and Hargreaves is an excellent signing - but quite a lot of new signings may mean a lack of cohesion in juuust enough games may allow Liverpool to pip them to top spot. Spurs finally look like this is the year they will start to achieve but we shall see - so long as it's not at the Arsenal's expense I'm ok with that - so my top 4 this year Liverpool Man U Arsenal Spurs
  11. it's pretty good at picking up addresses Asset so do persist - I had a few rejections because I assumed I lived in East Ham once, when the road in question was in fact Manor Park so it found it eventually
  12. now that is a great site young man! My current address gets 65 (quite pleased with that ) but my last address in Manor Park gets a 60 - when it is, at best, a 20. Unless the whole area has changed completely...
  13. Because I need a release... Souljacker Part 1 - eels
  14. Popped in to the Plough again last night - nicely busy garden only for the rain to start. Bah! Forecast remains good for rest of week however so we should be grand on Friday - see ye then
  15. a "top" is a dash of lemonade - about an inch worth on a pint glass I would say a "dash" is a measure of cordial I used to partake of both. Then I passed the legal age of drinking ;-)
  16. Crystal clear! my favourite lady back on the forum. .
  17. Oh it has punctuation. . I just let my standards slip on the phone. err. . . is this conversation putting people off coming on friday ?
  18. Im with keef on the white beer thing. I can appreciate ales even if i dont par take. But white beers are just not a good idea regardless of cost.* *as with many of my opinions i am probably one good weekend away from reversing same. Its only fair i point that out
  19. If only cricket had its own thread. . . Oh wait
  20. Punctuation is an unfortunate casualty of mobile phone web browsing im afraid. And that was 2 more i left out. . But it is nice to know im being looked after

  23. I can vouch that Louisa has been in the new Plough. And sees it as a missed opportunity. Which I sort of agree with. Except I keep going there
  24. Now look what you've done Louisa and Jah! I have Paul MCartneys "Pipes of Peace" in my head - aaaaaaaa
  25. Have a look for a big-ish group (certainly by 8:30 - we can be slow starters) - if we look cool enough then come say hello. If you find a cooler group say hello to them, suss them out and then come tell us where the party is... Cheers! ;-) As Mockney points out you should recognise many of us from the flickr group (assuming you can access it - I can't at work grrrrrr) Main thing is - take the plunge - I felt nervous but these evenings are always fun
