Smart move.

There's no doubt Ozil is a great talent but we knew he wouldn't be the type that digs in and tracks back when we took him on. When he has the likes of Ramsey and Walcott to run in behind he is infinitely better. The player has come from a league where they have a Winter break, as he did with his German club, and is probably still adjusting to the pace and physicality or the Prem. Overall I'm glad we've got him and I think he'll improve.

Valiant effort by the Arsenal, for the first 30 minutes I thought we were better than Bayern, no problem with the sending off or the red card. Mountain to climb now. How is it we pay 42 million for the only German who can't score penalties? Sonogo looks a decent prospect.

To be fair to Pellegrini he's not the first, and I'm sure not the last, to blame the ref for a teams failure to progress. And as RD rightly said, Barca had a perfectly good goal chalked off so............

In recent years whenever Barca have played English opposition they always seem to end up playing against 10 men. It happened against CSKA Fulham, and against the Arsenal. However the red card was justified, not sure it was a penalty though as the initial contact looked like it was outside the box. City have got a mountain to climb when they visit the camp nou. I don't have much expectation for tonights game and even in the unlikely event that we win, I'm not sure that the margin, probably a narrow one, will be enough to carry us through in Germany. We can only hope.

Nicking the ball is not the best way to dispel the stereotypical view many have of scousers, and especially when you're 2 nil down.

More like special needs.
