They are not the cause of the mire that Rangers find themselves in.

  4. Don't really see any big signings in January, players going to the world cup will want to stay where thay are and get that competition out of the way before any potential move, Costa at Athletico for example.

Can't say I've heard that one, it's not appeared on any of the fans blogs or websites.

  7. Another guy that did a lot for soul music but never gets a mention is Peter Young, who's been around for ages and used to go out of his way to buy tunes to play on his shows rather than just stick to a rigid play list. Same goes for, dare I say it, Tony Blackburn.

Not sure he will ever fulfil the expectations that his formers employers had.
  9. I used to listed to Invicta in the early 80's now choose to listen to back2back fm and Solar, very wide spectrum of black music on those 2. Loved Robbie Vincents ability to search out the finest back then.

  11. For me Giles Peterson is overrated, he gets plaudits and the likes of Robbie Vincent are over looked more often than not, despite bringing an awul lot of stuff to the attention of the listening public which would otherwise have gone under the radar.

In the same way we missed him for 7 of the 8 seasons he was with us.

As a record dealer for the last 22 years I can vouch for this. There are many collectors of northern tunes that want that holy grail which costs a fortune but is actually a real cack tune. And the only reason they want it is for the bragging rights, not to heaven forbid play the thing!! And the northern scene has changed hugely over the yeras, tunes that were once frowned upon when played at a northern night are positively raved over, and a whole new "modern" soul scene emerged, with tunes from the 70's such as "Where will go when the party is over" by Archie Bell and the Drells, and the Ace Spectrum tune "(if you can't come yourself) don't send nobody else" getting lots of plays.
  14. Remember when United fans used to say the Arsenal were nothing without RVP? How ironic.

You're entitled to your opinion but you are wrong. My dig is no differnt to yours in my view and if RD takes it personally that's his prerogative. We all take the opportunity to enjoy poor results or performance of opposing teams and if that upsets RD, too bad

You just want them to be. I couldn't care less how he reacts to be honest, just love the fact that he and his fellow supporters don't seem to be able to cope with the ridicule they were all so keenly giving out for years. And strangley when the likes of Jah or Blue Revolution take the piss, he goes very quiet. Strange that.

  20. You could see this coming a mile away!!!!!! Fifa rules out the possibility of a Qatar summer World Cup in 2022 Fifa has completely ruled out any prospect of the Qatar 2022 World Cup being played in the summer. President Sepp Blatter had already said the tournament would be in November or December but organisers had still hoped to host it in June and July. But Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke says it could take place between 15 November and 15 January.

Good try though RD.
