  1. Thou shalt not wear a new shirt when pissing into the wind...
  2. Not wishing to boast or anything....hell I do wish to boast...but my forecast for the Spurs-Liverpool match was right on the money.... >:D< Simon(Cassandra)M
  3. Because Andrew Sachs refused to make a complaint
  4. >>Simon M - Who was gloating? Was merely posting facts. embarrased smiley I know full well that getting carried away usually comes back to bite you on the arse.<< What was "how many points behind top spot?" if not a little gloat eh? :) Come on, be honest! I did find the imagery in the second part of your comment a little disturbing mind you... 5. ...or you could just buy 16 at 50 x 50 cms and reduce each one to 45cm x 45cm (ish)
  6. I am not sure it is at all wise for Liverpool supporters to gloat about Arsenal's shortcomings the other night - not with Saturday's game coming up. Nemesis and all that!>:D
  7. I have seen it suggested that "Doctor Who" should return to basics, and as the very first progammes featured a doddery old guy and his grand-daughter then who better than Andrew Sachs.....B)
  8. All these sneery references to Russell Brand by his surname only make me quite sorry for poor Jo...
  9. Who was the Arsenal player who slipped and gave away possession which led to Spurs (very fine!) 3rd goal?
  10. I see James Nesbitt is still one of the favoutites.... A woman would make a nice change though....
  11. I am still trying to visualise ED station as a modern Adlestrop...
  12. Arsenal threw it away through complacency, it looked to me. But Tottenham showed real character and I'd imagine the effect on the morale on both the team and the supporters to be immeasurable. Their next game now looks even more intriguing! >:D
  13. If he had to stand on an upturned crate to do it then it probably was Pacino himself...>:D
  14. ...cannot find that wonderful scene on the station platform near the end of "The Railway Children" on YouTube! Pshaw!!!
  15. That's what he told you anyway? B)
  16. For making a bacon sandwich on a Saturday try one of the baguettes from Mootown - the Welsh cheese place in the Warehouse. And Cafe 2050 does nice bread 7 mornings a week too, but they quickly sell out.
  17. >>People on the phone saying "bear with me". << God yes! I want to scream back "Why?! Are you giving birth this very minute?!"
  18. Everton 0 Man Utd 3 Sunderland 2 Newcastle 0 West Brom 2 Hull City 0 Blackburn 1 Middlesbrough 0 Chelsea 2 Liverpool 0 Man City 3 Stoke City 1 Tottenham 1 Bolton 0 Wigan 2 Aston Villa 1 West Ham 0 Arsenal 2 Portsmouth 2 Fulham 0
  19. How could you tell how much she was going to buy? or if she was shopping purely for herself and not for someone else who lives further away? or was not going on somewhere else afterwards? etc etc etc Still she is famous so fair game I suppose...
  20. I am not quite sure why you're all picking on Lady Harman. Surely her voting record is no different to any other government member? And as far as her education goes York Uni makes her positively plebian compared to the Oxbridge Mafia surrounding her on both sides of the house.. Guilty confession....way back in the days when the local Labour Party was based in a terrace house on Grove Vale I had the opportunity to run Ms Harman over when she was trying to cross the road (no Pelican Crossing there then!). But as she was heavily pregnant at the time (I did say it was a while ago) I thought it would have been bad form to jeopardise my no claims bonus in such a caddish manner....B)
  21. Best breakfast (full) Best breakfast (continental) Best cake (sub-awards for carrot, chocolate etc)...
  22. Omrith - 1 vote!
  23. Yes, today's Grauniad Sport had over half a page of Spurs jokes, many of which had previously been seen here...I wonder who the sports editor supports?!
