It wasn't so much Billy...I just had a crush on that native american woman who ran up and down the right wing in a skimpy buckskin affair....:))
  3. One of the junk brochures in the new "Radio Times" is offering a "detox patch" that you stick on overnight.... And if you believe that then I am selling Tower Bridge at a bargain price this Christmas....
  4. Years and years ago my father acquired a walking stick made from a Bulls Pizzle. And, as one does, I took it to the pub with me one night as a conversational piece. What intrigued me was how a couple of women friends there knew instinctively what it was and gave me a wide berth - at least I think that was the reason...:-S

Oh "Blackbag" was utterly brilliant, especially if you remembered the original strip it was spoofing >:D

As a football fan I never liked to miss Billy The Fish....:)
  7. Best Newcomer? Quite a field I'd have thought...Cafe 2050, Magnolia, Franklins deli etc etc
  8. ...and there are those of us who eschew the spurious glamour of Premiership clubs (sour grapes? moi??!!) and soldier on with our lifelong enslavement to the Giants of the Championship...or even the Football League, although alas the numbers in the latter category were recently reduced by one when one chap apostacised and gave it all up for the dubious pleasures of the Oval Ball.... B)
  9. By "running costs" I was including depreciation etc...but no matter, no matter! :))
  10. if it gets full of lacrimose drunks then why not "BooHoo"??:)
  11. But the person posting the parcel/package/whatever has paid the full whack for delivery to the addressee's door. So this new practice is blatantly dishonest and taking money on false pretences: time someone prosecuted them I think
  12. But you still pay the "running costs" even if you leave the car at home for the trip to O2.... You might just as validly include a proportion of your Council Tax towards maintaining the roads on which the buses run...B)
  13. A Norse is a Norse of course of course....B)
  14. I still find it a bit unnerving that they all speak English but type/key Swedish...
  15. I suppose Spurling Road (which I used to live on!) has to count as a 4th, but I'm not sure which is the 5th to the roundabout? It's still 3 busy roads to Peckham Rye's 4 though. :)
  16. But the Lordship Lane roundabout is for 3 roads not 4. To make a suitable-sized roundabout at Peckham Rye would involved carving a whole chunk from the corner of the Rye itself. And you'd still have delays from your proposed Pelican crossings.
  17. Isn't this coming weekend also the West Dulwich Street/Christmas market??
  18. >>I'm not sure if that's implying the truffles are cheap or expensive? I'm guessing that's quite good, no? << You are probably right. And I guess 100gms of them would go a long way. Any implication was to their very presence in ED - the fact that there is perceived to be a amrket for them here...
  19. Where is Mr Carnell? Where is Mr Carnell?! :-S
  20. You could be right at that....so you'd send your glass back complaining about all the spices defiling it??
  21. ...The Wine Bar - which I will not name to save possible embarrassment - which had a sign up offering "Hot Mulled Wine"... :))
  22. Underhill.....
  23. I see the ED Deli is now offering fresh black truffles at a mere ?130 for 100gms....
  24. Aston Villa 2 Fulham 0 Middlesbrough 2 Newcastle 1 Stoke City 2 Hull City 1 Sunderland 0 Bolton 1 Wigan Athletic 2 West Brom 1 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 0 Man City 1 Man Utd 2 Portsmouth 3 Blackburn 1 Tottenham 3 Everton 1 Liverpool 2 West Ham Utd 0
  25. I think Pete & Dud this kind of thing much more funnily all those years ago with their "Bloody Greta Garbo!" sketch! >:D
