  6. But they are very expensive to buy and of course the Big Four rotate even their big names quite a bit, even if only substituting them... My striker tip for the opening day is Dean Windass of Hull! >:D<
  7. I am not only a Northerner but I even get my Yorkshire Curd Tarts, Yorkshire parkin & Whitby Gingerbread online on a regular basis from Elizabth Botham of Whitby! No decent cake shops in the South.... And if That Bloody Woman who closed all the mines does indeed get a state funeral then there'll be some panic...

  11. >>Before 2000 is mean, that doesn't leave room for Hidden or Tell No One.:D< That said though I thought "Hidden" pretty overrated...
  12. >>also is it 'Bell vwhah' or 'Bee vor' for Belvoir Road?<< The former I'd say....."Beauvoir" would be "Beaver"! (stopp sniggering at the back there!):))
  13. A pub in Cambridge used to offer Peanut Butter & Bramble Jelly sandwiches because it was a popular place for young American ladies at nearby Newnham College. For me crisp hot streaky bacon & HP Sauce (in white bread!) does it every time.

  17. But if a would-be tenant does voluntarily sign a rental agreement which includes a no smoking clause then it is the landlord's business. If you don't like it then choose another flat.

The football season starts properly on Saturday when Birmingham v Sheffield Utd kicks off at 12.45. The Olympics cannot compete with the new football season......except of course the Women's Beach Volleyball, which is a must-see! >:D

    Barry George.

    >>Isn't this a bedrock of British justice - "better that 10 guilty men should go free than one innocent man be condemned"<< Not an adage I have ever been terribly happy with, given that each of the 10 guilty men set free might then go on to murder, rape, burgle other innocent victims....And of course in England & Wales what we seem to get far too often is 10 innocents condemned & 10 guilty set free. Time to abolish the Jury System!
