  1. *clanking, rummaging sounds from kitchen* Nope. But I have two whisks, will they do? However, one of them is a comedy one with an egg-shaped handle, which I fear may not add to my score here.
  2. Ridonkulous is the best new word I've heard in ages. Mike, your post is a gem just for that. However, for someone who is using direct language you're not being very specific as to what is wrong.
  3. A roasting tin. Do I still count as a grown-up?
  4. Aww, Hona. I had no idea you'd take it so badly. Never mind, here's a nice biscuit.

I don't think you'll get a bite today. Try the squatters thread again, perhaps.
  6. Hona, your Forumharem is big enough. I was an early adopter of the HB crush, but felt I had to defect when everyone got one. I hope you understand, it's nothing personal. So if I want to love Keef then I jolly well will, even though it breaks Rule One.
  7. What with cat shit infesting every garden and dog shit smeared on every street it's a wonder any child of East Dulwich manages to reach adulthood. Still not seeing why cats are pet lite (other than just a snorksinahuff windup mechanism)? Other than being taken for a walk they still need lots of love and care.
  8. Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I wish I liked myself :-$ Don't worry about it Keef, that's our job. xMoos
  9. Snorky, you're so sweet when you get all huffy.

But then I'd have to send the boys round.
  11. I rather agree with honk - it may be one good feature of the descending house prices that developers no longer buy houses and leave them empty to accrue value.
  12. Cate, lighten up a little - why get so angry with other people's choices just because they aren't yours? I have 2 cats and a small child. We have a (clean!) litter tray but the cats won't use it now that they are old enough to go outside, I don't really know why. Even when we had to start keeping them in at night because one of them kept getting himself beaten up, they obviously preferred to cross their legs until morning. So yes I have to keep an eye on the small child when he plays outside, but so far so good and fingers crossed. I don't agree that cats are 'pets lite' - they form attachments to their people and need daily care and attention, as well as the basics of food, water and somewhere illegal to sleep.
  13. How about 'meeting' in a bar and chatting each other up? Actually, come to think of it that is the height of cheese. But a could be a nice reminder of why you fell for ChapWotLunches in the first place. Edited to say - obviously an ED bar. In ED. Or near ED. Anyway, a local thing. :-$
  14. I drove this once, it was like zooming about in an enormously powerful cloud. Lovely!
  15. This is a weird phenomenon. Similarly:- Why is Samuel L Jackson trying to sell me Virgin Media? Why are Elle McPherson, Bruce Willis, Alice Cooper and Ringo Starr trying to sell me insurance? Presumably because they need the money, poor things.
  16. Argh, is this thread still going?! Oh hang on, that was me.

Fabulous. I think it's the London Bridge rugby man's skin that's so lovely, he looks like a bronze statue.

I think it's a great image, both gorgeous and arresting in itself, and also, well, just gorgeous and arresting. BB, the one with the Italian rugby team just didn't do it for me, this guy seems a much more manly man. He can run my bath whenever he likes!

Bleugh, it's definitely not Lawrence Dallaglio!

Annasfield started a thread on the Italian rugby team poster a while ago...
  21. For those of you who might have wondered why I'm not taking part in this thread, I'm afraid it simply because I'm chicken and can't face the snarling contempt and anger of the board. Sorry. To those of you, regardless of your views, who have stood up for respect, honesty, thinking, listening and tolerance and who have had the courage to say so, thanks.

    Oh my (2)

I was so busy gawping that I didn't actually manage to catch the headline (ahem) so can't tell you who it was for, or Google it and find a reference, sorry. It's a picture of a very beautiful naked man looking as though he is leaping sideways to catch a ball - possibly a rugby player?

    Oh my (2)

Has anyone seen the new poster on the ellipse-shaped poster-board outside London Bridge? What an image! I nearly suffered a Porterhouse Blue ... and I'm still blushing.
  24. A reminder to be alert and keep an eye on your safety is always useful. Thanks, Halicon.
  25. I don't think anyone suggested that the police need to be called - I thought it was more of a marker, to let people be aware of what had happened. If the guy is local, it's perfectly possible that he may do it again, but of course what we all hope is that the thread will go quiet and we'll never hear about it again. On balance, I think Halicon was absolutely right to put the thread up. As for 'a woman being shouted at', if you are a woman you will know that women get shouted at pretty much daily in London. We don't know what happened here, but it seems safe to assume that it was something that seemed out of the ordinary and genuinely threatening, at least to the person to whom it happened.
