  2. Won't make any difference. Every time I've been in the dog-free area I've come across dogshit.
  3. Well said, Nunhead Girl A Peckhamite.
  4. Trouble with saying that breastfeeding has to be done in private is that it essentially means that a mother has to pretty much not go out for at least the first six months or so of her child's life, which is quite a price to pay. I can't say I've ever seen a woman in ED breastfeeding 'to make a point' and on the whole unless you are staring it's pretty hard to see anything more than you would see if she were wearing a low-cut top. But if you have, that's your prerogative to make the statement, of course. Not sure about the logic of the slippery slope - isn't that what good manners is there for?
  5. Well said again, Fuschia. I agree that discretion is all. A little tolerance and consideration for others goes a long way - both ways.
  6. Well said, Fuschia. I wondered when this thread would switch over to whether it's OK to breastfeed in public! For the record, it is.
  7. What we need to ask ourselves in this situation is this. What would Princess Anne do?
  8. High-powered water pistols?
  9. jrthomas was the one that brought genocide into the discussion, if that's not hyperbolic I'd like to know what is. Perhaps you could advise exactly how many people need to have died before people on an internet forum are permitted to express any disatisfaction. A person changing a shit-filled nappy in a place where people eat is gross bad manners and bad hygiene. Is it Chernobyl? No. It's just a few posts on a forum.
  10. I know, why can't they have subdued middle-class sex in bed like proper ED residents? All that howling and biting is awfully disturbing.
  11. Was your first a rhetorical question?

    Hello

Hello Bounty, welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your pregnancy. Are you called Bounty because you are bountiful, or because you like chocolate and coconut?
  13. Pow! I liked it, Gigi.
  14. It's going to be a gladiatorial ring where the smug residents of East Dulwich will take on All Comers armed only with organic courgettes. Fact.
  15. *corpse of Moos manages to look slightly more indignant*
  16. *crawls off wounded to die in a corner*
  17. very small zoo
  18. That would be very pleasant.
  19. Fresh & Wild is incredibly expensive and in IMHO not worth it.
  20. *laughs like a hyaena at Asset's post*

I just look old because I live in Peckham, it's fashionable here.

I eat butter, cheese, cakes, biscuits, pies and chips so I'm doomed. But not crisps! Perhaps there's hope after all.
  23. Don't you call me a peasant, I'm from yeoman stock, I'll have you know.
  24. Since it seems to be spelling day on the Forum, you whittle and I'll hum along.
  25. Yes but jollybaby I like sausage rolls and live in Peckham but am not yet dead, so everything you said isn't true*. *It's a well known fact that anecdotal evidence is proof on the EDF**. **Even when it doesn't make any sense.
