  1. Sorry to spoil the plot, but I rescued myself and buggered off ages ago. If you want me to resume my saintly maidenly pose and Snow White costume you're going to have to discuss it with my agent.
  2. Ah-ha - you can have ours, Annaj! I might have long hair. This could be a wig. This thread is so heading for the Lounge. Sorry about that. Thought my candles question was relevant if slightly tangential.
  3. I'll take some to post on here on Christmas Eve when we crack open a bottle of red, stick on the Christmas Oratorio, finish hanging up the witchballs and finally light the candles for the first time. Cross-posted with PGC - I'm not dead or artistic so I guess I must be Jo. But I'm not sure I'm much of a Good Wife, poor Mr. Moos.
  4. We've got one in our garden that someone obviously piously planted after Christmas. It looks hideous and I'm looking forward to getting rid of it. They just aren't that decorative without all the jolly witch balls and things on. Does anyone else have real candles on the Christmas tree? Mr. Moos put his foot down re: electric lights on the tree on our first married Christmas, and though I had my doubts I'm a total convert now - real candles look so pretty!
  5. And James, have you ever considered Jamez? I think that's the height of glamour. Mooz
  6. What about best health service? Doctors and dentists' surgeries.
  7. Agree with you, Keef - summer Saturday larks sound great.
  8. Surely they have to be in ED? I think the award for the best takeaway place in ED should be for a place in ED.
  9. Huguenot, your fine mind is always impressive, and I agree that it would be the most accurate approach - but actually I was hoping for a set of qualitative responses along the lines of 'oh, I am -my mum lives in ED but I'm in the Hague' and so on. I crunch quite enough numbers during the day as it is!
  10. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Come on "in crowd" who are they?...Sean is Mary I > think? ????, I think the Holy Family must have outed itself to your satisfaction by now?
  11. Don't worry, MP, I know you in person, you're safe. Unless you're talking about Kate Moss, in which case you're nuts, she's gorgeous.
  12. We got a lovely 6ft+ tree from Uplands Road for ?30 including free almost-immediate delivery and lots of friendly help from the guys.
  13. Our Peckham posties are very good with parcels - we're always having them drop them off with neighbours or having neighbours' parcels delivered to us. Seems to be working really well, they'll definitely have earned their Christmas envelope this year!
  14. A nice idea, Huguenot. Prompts me to wonder how many Forumites are resident outside the UK?
  15. We've just started season 4 - thank you, dear Keef - and OMG how good is it?! Loving it. Loving Bunk in particular, not really sure why.
  16. Mary had other children, MP, who were, shall we say, less than immaculately conceived. Get in there. However, I have heard a rumour that 'Joseph' has another wife...
  17. 6 months is a long time, Michael, lots of forumites haven't been around that long. How about people who registered before the day the awards were announced? I agree 10-12 awards feels about right - think it's hard to compare the customer service you'd expect from a restaurant to that from a butcher or that from an estate agent.
  18. My cats couldn't get a visa, so it's not them.
  19. Having just looked again and laughed as much as I did last night, what I think is best is the way Joseph's expression is clearly saying something along the lines of 'Hey, not bad, not bad. Stepfather to the son of God? I'm sorted!'
  20. LuvPeckham, I am thoroughly alarmed. What do you mean about Father Christmas? My mummy told me he was real and the big boys were just being horrid. So sorry to hear about your barbed wire scars. Do you feel, however, that in the quest for a lovely emc or a charming crispy that manly barbed-wire scars might be a help to the cause? Just trying to see the positive side for you there.
  21. Don't you mean they're breaking point? HB, I feel the love has been lost between us. If you can't even get on board and synergise with my grammar and spelling strategies, I am ready to move on and find my next virtual toy-boy. *looks around* *the Forum cowers*
  22. I never! And it's Moos. Are you a grocer, Luv?
  23. Ah! :-$ Nice one, PGC. I'm not, I hope, that careless...
  24. Sublime, *Bob*! hee hee hee think I'm going to be laughing for hours ...
