  1. Well yah boo sucks to you then. (pouts) I love the way this thread has turned into a skirmish in the war of the sexes. Love it! Wait till you can see the whites of their eyes, ladies. [Gosh, sorry about that. Bell coming off as soon as I can get him in a room with some secateurs]
  2. I've just image-googled Harvey Smith and come up with a huge variety of people, a youngish scruffy bloke, and oldish beardy bloke and a bloke on a horse whom I'm guessing is whom you mean...??? Or not? Drunken posting is definitely to be encouraged. Unlike drunken conversation it's still there the next day to assist your memory of the silly things you've done and said.
  3. Trouble is male cartoon villains are generally deformed and weird-looking - but not in a sexy way - and male cartoon heroes are a bit bland. And (quick nod to boob thread) definitely OE.
  4. Oh, I don't know. The grass on Goose Green is about 75% turd.
  5. You just wanted to show off your cute cat, didn't you Ant? She IS cute though.
  6. Without recrimination from the what? I thought Annaj's reply was perfectly polite (good debating manners) and also factual (ditto). What's the problem? Spout shit and you'll get questioned. And that, my friends, is when you know you're an East Dulwichite.
  7. Yep, and it was soo painful. Because really how pissed off is America with the current administration, it would be a tragedy if the Democrats can still throw it away now. Back to the Obama-taunting. A dignified silence is a Good Thing. But how do we think McCain should have responded to the racist/anti-Islamic comments of his supporters?
  8. Er, doesn't that mean that you completely disagree with what I said? Or are you just so polite that you couldn't bring yourself to say you thought I was wrong? Bless you.

    Petty Annoyances

Argh! hate those things. Definitely worth a petty annoyance mention on their own.
  10. Perhaps I don't watch it often enough, but whenever I've seen it I've thought the Republicans get more than half of the pasting. Must as you say be the incumbancy point. It almost goes without saying that the Democrats are in any election much more appealing - surely hardly any Europeans would vote Republican? It's just when I saw the Palin/Clinton programme in particular, although it was very funny, I did think that you could make an almost identical programme the other way around. I'll have a look at Fox tonight.

    36C boob thread

Why, thank you, LuvPeckham, that's very considerate.
  12. It's good stuff, isn't it? The Sarah Palin/Hillary Clinton coverage reporting was hilarious.
  13. Well yes, or indeed the fair and balanced piss-taking of Jon Stewart! Well, if it's funny...
  14. No, no - not saying it's untrue. What I am saying is that cheap journalism is cheap journalism regardless of the purity of the cause. And why not let the situation speak for itself? To me, that clip was so showcased it undermined its own truth.

    Hard Times?

There are lots of new Times ads at London Bridge - one with a picture of Robert Mugabe looking particularly crafty, and one rather sad one of a tubby boy. No caption. Unless I'm just missing something, I think we're meant to infer a general topic of current interest (obese children, African politics...).

    36C boob thread

Surely a category for OI (over-inflated) should be added at the top of the list?

    Petty Annoyances

Yes, but I'm feeling an overwhelming urge to justify myself, don't let me off just yet... [sits on hands]
  18. Hmm. Was that video clip made by Michael Moore?
  19. Would it be so very wrong to leave Mr. Moos for Honaloochie B without consulting Honaloochie B first?

    Petty Annoyances

Oh shit, Damo, I think that's me! Sorry. :-$ But I promise I've never stood on anyone's fingers. Finding yourself on the Petty Annoyances thread. Actually, that's not petty at all. It's baaaaaaaaaaaad.
  21. And you are the kind of fare-dodger who puts the prices up for everyone else. You really have nothing to contribute other than name-calling?
  22. Seriously kford, the green man is green for about a nanosecond on that crossing - even if a pedestrian sets out briskly as it turns green, he will still be crossing when it starts to beep. If that causes you to be impatient then you've got bigger worries - for example, the way your life may be shortened by stress.
  23. Why have I NEVER EVER heard of any bands that anyone mentions on any thread in this damn' Forum?* (6) *the above is slightly hyperbolic
  24. AFN, your wit appears to have fallen among thorns. I laughed, anyway.
  25. Unfortunately we live in a nation which was one of the first to develop cities that are still standing in their present form, one of the few in Europe whose railways lines were not bombed unusable during WWs I and II and which was an early adopter of railway and Underground technology. So far, so well done us. Trouble is we are stuck with our legacies, and the cost of updating them is huge.
