  3. I'm on S2 and have been loving it, without subtitles. Once our ears tuned in, we found we didn't have to rewind very often...

    Petty Annoyances

If you're expecting me to turn up as a nurse, you really are dreaming.
  5. When did I call it mumbo jumbo?! I wondered why you were sounding so cross earlier. I don't really believe it, but I think it's fun. Wouldn't read my stars in the paper, though.
  6. I like the idea of being the Leo you described above! Not sure it's me, though. You definitely have the steady gaze, Asset. I don't know you well enough to say about the rest. Are you Taurean?
  7. Yes, but some people because of their genetic makeup would never have red lips, except with the use of Red Sinner by Poppy King - which is fabulous, by the way. Anyway, it's a tedious, nit-picking and pedantic point so I'm going to drop it. What are horses like, then? Or what's your occidental sign? -and yes, I did mean the red lips.
  8. Chuff, there is no hope for you. I think you were thinking of the Rabbit.
  9. Well, I guess that excludes all non-Caucasians from being Leos. Clearly black people never shag in November.
  10. *mumbles* Don't really have one...
  11. picture of chuff!
  12. Yes, I think some people do think that. And in fact, some of the things in the Bible are fact - e.g. Jesus was a historical figure, and stuff like that. A lot of it is more like opinion, isn't it? I do think that astrologists think their thing is provable and scientific but I'm no expert. I don't think you can compare it with a religion, because it doesn't ask its followers to live in any particular way, which as far as I'm aware all religions do. edited to say I think we're in synch now!
  13. I agree.
  14. What do you mean, admitting?
  15. I'm a wooden tiger. God knows what that is supposed to imply.
  16. Faith isn't about fact, it's about ethics, belief and a way of life. Astrology purports to be a scientific method of determining various things (I'm not sure exactly what, think it goes beyond just personalities?). So no faith is required - either you think the method is sound or you don't.
  17. A fire horse sounds rather magnificent! Why??
  18. Astrology claims to be scientific and fact-based. It's not a faith.
  19. My son is a pig, and a golden pig too (it's a fire year). Very lucky, or so I gather. I have to admit that he is very round and pink.
  20. I haven't got big hair. It is all about me, though. And I'm a tiger too, if we may be oriental as well as occidental.
  21. Pedants can be found lurking just next to stroppy people who tell them off. Both should be avoided at all costs. Here's to interesting days, may there be more of them.
  22. I like your list, Brendan. - Understanding of group dynamics and what social structure and dynamics exist ouside of the school environment I left off the social-development type stuff from my list, because I got tangled up between civic understanding (understanding of rights/responsibilities and how the system works) and moral/ethical education, which is a bit trickier. How do you differentiate between what you should learn at home and what at school? I also wondered about teaching children how to cook, is that essential?
  23. Yes Jeremy, but you were the one that 'latched onto' poor EDdownunder on his/her first post. Nice. Hi EDdownunder! Welcome to the area, have fun.
  24. Or steal their own sweets?
  25. My goodness, Mockers, what were you going to say?
